That team he plays behind now is NOT the team that's been there the first umpty ump years of his career. This is the best team he's had in front of him. A goalie doesn't steal a season or even a series, he steals a game here and there.

No-one should be allowed to be that good looking, that good at hockey, that rich, and still be able to do stuff like play the guitar... Its just not fair. God screwed me...

The WIP crowd is either at a players throat or at their feet. The media in general latches on to a narrative and runs with it. A couple of months ago Giroux and Forsberg were being used in the same sentence. Sorry guys, nothing against Claude but not yet if ever. They loved Bryz when he was a refreshing quote machine then jumped on him when he faltered. Now after a few good games and a shutout he's Jacques Plante. There are a lot of otherwise pretty knowledgible fans, who don't have the time to follow the entire league closely and only knew of Bryz by what was on the stat sheet which was pretty solid. They didn't know that the guy was a philosopher. Can't blame anyone for being taken aback by a guy who was not playing well and running his mouth about God knows what after the games. Finally, it's starting to look like the adjustment period is over.

When Ozzy goes It will feel like a family member died. I'm dreading that day and hopefully the years of wear and tear don't deprive him of living to a ripe old age of say 80? People think I'm nuts (except for fellow ozzy fans) but I find deep meaning in a lot of his work. It's a shame all that business with suicide solutions litigation had to happen in the 80's. Some people just can't fully appreciate art. Much like Dio and the idiot protestors at his funeral.

I never felt a connection with Ozzy like I do other artists (Dio included). But at the last Ozzfest (or was it the previous? Motley Crue was there and Zack Wylde was fortunately rained out) Ozzy actually seemed really into the performance. It was nice to see, even if he did seem more like a crazy old man with a firehose than a rock god. Folks were saying beforehand he seemed uninspired the previous years.

As for Dio, I was really sad to hear he'd passed. Almost exaclty a year before, I saw him at Metal Masters, he and Motorhead opened for Judas Priest. He put on an awesome performance, never would've guessed it was among the Last in Line

I don't know, I haven't seen him live in like 5 years. Lamb of God was there but then again I had childcare issues and was only able to see LOG and Ozzy perform I got in caught in the wall of death though But Ozzy performed with Wylde who did like a 20 minute solo and became enshrined as the best guitarist ever IMO. HE's definitely my favorite. I still laugh when people try to tell me those guys are satanists THere's bands out there that are but Ozzy, Dio and Sabbath are not.

Actually his band is too heavy for my tastes. I think they make Pantera look like Aerosmith, but that kid can play a wicked bass and is pretty good on a six string.

Satanists? What're they, 90 years old?

As for Wylde, he's talented but I think he's boring as all hell. Black Label opened for Priest a few months ago, and he played a twenty minute solo there. I've never been so damn bored at a guitar solo in my life. I think he really tries to compensate for a lack of songwriting ability with too much volume, "heaviness", and shredding. Also, that pinch harmonic he feels obligated to hit at least once per half second. He's no legend in my book.

Whaaat? I guess it's all about preference. He does lack song writing ability though. Maybe he's declining too, it happens. I just know I've seen him live once or twice and it rocked the house. That and there's probably two dozen songs by him and Ozzy and him solo that I absolutely adore.

No the cough satanist people are just misinformed

Edit: I'm nowhere near as plugged into the rock/concert stuff as I used to be so if they are opening for Priest these days, nothing against Priest but BLS has been around long enough they shouldn't be opening for anyone, then yea I'd say he's on the decline.
