They do make not seeing the game more enjoyable, that's for sure. I also love that Bundy does not mince words - whether his subject is a Flyer, an opponent, a ref, or Tim S.

But how many games have the flyers lose cause of bad goals, we score a hell of alot more then the blueshrits do, I think hank would make our team much better, but in a different way.....numbers would worse tho
- flyers4487

How many times have they left their goalie out to dry and how many do the Rangers do it to Lundqvist? When the Rangers do it to Lundqvist yes he gives up goals, regardless of what you want to believe. The Flyers played a better defensive game of late and it's allowed Bryzgalov to play better. You can't have one without the other I'm sorry you are somehow led to believe that. Lundqvist gives up soft goals too. He isn't given the chance to give up more because his team plays better in front of him. If he was the Flyers goalie the only difference would be the Flyers would be ahead of the Pens not on top of the Conference.

Bryzgalov on the Rangers would be looking a lot better and Lundy on the flyers would look worse.

Those guys are a fun listen. When Bundy got his US citizenship, Saunders said, "I'm sure that set off celebrations all over Canada"
- Jsaquella

HAhaha yea, honestly they know their stuff, bundy gives a good players perspective. I remember listening to the Flyers pens game (the first one in pitt) while driving out there and bundy was talking crap on the refs all night lol

Yup. Bryz plays the majority of the rest of the games. Not even a need for a second thought about it. The only time Bob plays is injury and the odd back to back.
- Jsaquella

Do you want to grind him down like they did to him in Phoenix? I want to give him twelve of the remaining 18 games and give the others to Bob.

1. It Didn't hurt Broduer. I'm sure Lundquist can handle it.

2. The whole point with Bryz and Bob sharing a lot of time to start the season was to keep Bryz rested so you can lean heavily on him down the strech. I don't rest Bryz, he had enough breaks during the season that he should be fine. Now is time to get him in a groove, so he doesnt come out cold int he playoffs.

At this point in his career Marty already accomplished more in the postseason than a measly second round appearance.

I want him to stay as hot as possible. If that means he plays 15 out of 18, that's what it means.

In my opinion if Bryzgalov continues his recent play, then he needs to keep playing. And play a lot. Best way to cool him off is to play Bobrovsky more.
- MJL

Then you run into the possibility of him burning out in the playoffs. He doesn't need every game. start him three in a row and rest him one unless its a back to back.

I'd be fine with giving Bryz as many as possible at this point. He'll be fine for the playoffs, after the lightened load through the early portions of the season, eye em oh.

The Rangers have 18 games left, figuring they have a healthy lead in the standings they can afford to give him more games off. If he starts 12 of the next 18 games, that would put him at 60 starts. Way down from his previous two seasons.

By design as well. I have heard Tortorella say on numerous occasions that it is imperative Lundqvist gets more games off.

- PLindbergh31

Unless a team is struggling to get into the playoffs, I don't think 60 or more is a good number for a goalie.

I don't think his load was exactly lightened, just lavy would start Bob once Bryz played a good game or two.

He also played on better built, better coached teams. The Rangers have been a mess for years. But this team, finally relieved of the dead weight of the 3 hugely horrible free agent signings of sather (gomez, drury, redden) and with their home-grown core grown into their roles and the so far not as successful as they'd like but not a bust signing of Richards in the mix, is formidable. Put them in front of a world class goalie and they have much greater hope of doing something special. I like Hank. I just would rather have the Flyers win.

I saw a tweet last night about everyone getting on board with You Can Play because every man questions his own sexuality looking into Hank's blue eyes.

I think you are really short changing Lundqvist here. I watch a ton of Rangers games, and he very rarely allows a soft goal. Look at the season series with the Flyers this year. He has allowed zero soft goals in 5 games. The Rangers have been severely outplayed by the Bruins in all three meetings this year, and Lundqvist has managed to get them 6 points.

Not only is Lundqvist a mortal lock to win the Vezina, he's in the top 2 or 3 for the Hart Trophy. He's having one of the best seasons a goaltender has ever had.

I'd leave it entirely up to him. Hey Bryz you good to go? Then have at it. He's on a roll right now, I don't think a heavy workload now kills him.

Play your number one as much as possible. Looking around the league their are plenty of teams who continue to put their best goalie in net with no games off (consecutive). Your fighting for positioning in playoff seeding and every game is important down the stretch. Im with you play Bryz as much as possible.

Yes. He's had plenty of rest. Time for him to carry the load. He's been too streaky o let him sit a game here or there just for rest.

I'm liking the additions of both kubina and grossman more and more each game. They were lacking size and grit on the blue line and now they have it.

I don't see any issue of burnout, or the risk of that happening. Bobrovsky get's the odd start such as in a back to back. But in my opinion, play Bryzgalov as much as is smartly possible down the stretch.
