Personally, I would almost rather have 8th. I think they match up better against the Rangers than against Boston. A matchup with Boston would mean a whole lot of shenanigans I'd rather do without.

first things first, although i'd love to see a buffalo/boston match-up....i hate the bruins

Agreed... It would be ridiculous... If we just roll in the playoffs... Nobody expects crap from us.. It would be great if everybody took us lightly and ended up actually winning a few series... Anything can happen in playoffs..

Yes, ive always said I'll give him a season to adjust. Once next year starts then he has to produce. 15g25a I think would be a good season for him next year.

i figured that it would take this long, at least, as well...

the sabres still need a retool in the topsix...

i think you know where i'm heading with this

This is absolutely f'ing outstanding!! Screw whats already happened, this team is in the hunt for real. Sure their chances are only 14.1% at the moment, but a regulation win would push those chances up significantly. Who seriously thought the Sabres would get this close just a month ago. I know I didnt. So basically, it is playoff time now and this could be a very fun ride.

viva la core...

Is the core changing? Vanek was all but invisible on saturday, tennis/hodgson/staff have been playing decent.. Sultzer is better than grags in the short term..

MATT FRICKIN ELLIS.. he actually played a decent game but still lacks any kind of skillz

One thing to think about though. If we make it in as the 8th seed. And by some miracle were to upset the Rangers in 7 games. We would face the winner of Pitt/Philly (as they sit right now). We have always been bad against each of those teams. BUT if we do make it to 7th seed then and miraculously beat Boston we would probably play NJ because they would be the SE Conference winner with ease.

Point being... would you rather play pitt/philly or NJD?

I thought after the Couver game the playoff percentage was at 18.8? Did it change since Saturday night? WSH lost.

if they get someone to replace Roy the top six is alot better.. would be nice to have another center for the second line as i can't see Ennis being a true long term solution as the 2nd line center

The emotion in that series, esp. after earlier in the year would be awesome!

Personally. I think Vanek and Roy need to be shown the door in order to retool the top 6. Ennis, Hodge, and Pommer are locked in. I think Stafford would be up for debate as well especially if Brown was on the table like rumored earlier this year.

there chances for making the playoffs sit soley in the hands of Ryan Miller... no matter how you look at it, the offense is not good enough to out score anyone and the defense (sans miller) isn't good enough to shut down a team

I don't think Kaleta would like another whole series against that team. he can't do what he did earlier this year every game.

Being 100 % honest while watching that Caps/Flyers game last night.

I would never want a player like Ovechkin or Semin anywhere near our Buffalo Sabres roster.

The Caps will never win anything with those 2very selfish players.

They are team chemistry killers for sure.

I would pass on both of them thank you.

We all watch hockey because it entertains us. I think we all know the answer to any question involving would you rather play team A or the Devils.

It really is just Three scoring lines... If we had three scoring lines...

Even though Kaleta has been impressive lately... He's showing he could actually be a decent 3rd liner... I really like that Gerb-Leino-Kaleta line...

If Boyes rolls... Anybody think they resign him?

i think he could be almost as good as roy points-wise...i think he has more raw talent...

if i'm not mistaken, ennis, leino and staff were together for a period and they looked real solid...

therefore, i guess, i beg to differ

either way. Miller v Lundqvist or Miller v Thomas. The sh!t history is made of.

I am guilty of rewatching all of the scrums and fights and hits of the last two playoffs against Philly and Boston on Sunday morning.

I cannot wait for playoff hockey I just hope Buffalo continues this tear.

Myers hitting Versteeg flying into the air onto his back is my favorite.
