You're right, we just beat the best team in the league in their building last night, but no chance against the Jets....... - Homer

You played a team at 70% and they almost came back from a 3 goal deficit. |

You played at MCC?
I'm sold... How long ago did you play there? A couple of us played some club at Fredonia. - Fotes18
04-05... Transferred to Elmira but didn't play a single game there...

I will give you the short version
For starters, I am not a fan of Miller. I do not hate him, just feel in a cap era he is over paid and used his position of "power" to encourage darcy to bring back an inferior lalime as well as put us in a position to part ways with Biron and go with TBLOW
Perhaps it is because of liking Biron and his attitude when he was a Sabre. Marty would always start the interviews with "I need to do better", where Miller starts them with "we need to do better".
The avatar was changed after the last road trip when the team showed no effort, we have played great since and I do not want to jinx that.
The location was a reaction to him pouting after Goose was traded.
You can make a case of injuries, but if he was more focused we would be playing for the division not clawing to get a chance to sniff 8th place.
He deserves the majority of credit for the recent win streak and has firmly cemented that vanek should be under the microscope instead of him now, but back as recent as a month ago Miller was one of the main reasons we had struggled this year.
Once again, no hate
I just do not want to jinx the winning streak right now with change.
Hope that clears things up - homiedclown
Very well said, nice reasoning and of course everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Here are my reasons for why I keep Miller as long as possible:
As we've seen the past month or so, when he is on he is on. He puts himself in the category as #1 in the world IMO, and that's saying something coming from someone who literally grew up in the Hasek era.
I don't mind that he's vocal, usually when he starts spouting off to the media, the team tends to respond. Somehow I truly believe he knows exactly what he is doing. Think in terms of the new batman movies, "he's the hero we deserve, but not the one we need right now." On a much smaller scale. I feel like he knows he will be unpopular in public perception for his speeches but he takes the microscope from media and fans off other struggling players and does his best to make them more comfortable. To me that is the epitome of leadership.
I can only defend whining about Goose as his competitive nature, I think he felt like the organization was putting up the white flag on this season. With his compete level through the roof he didn't want to subtract unless additions were made and seeing Goose dealt for a draft pick probably peeved him.
Basically what it comes down to for me is that he can be elite and always shows it at times during the season. Watching that series vs. Philly last year and seeing him steal two games by himself only re-affirmed that IMO.
again, these are personal opinion... I know Homie will respect that, but I feel some may not.

I think if they win tomorrow, they should strive for 6th place and not settle to just get in.
I do not think they can make a deep run, but if two lines click, special teams play well and Miller is hot, this team could beat anyone in the east for a 7 game series - homiedclown
I was thinking about this today and I've made the decision that I want the Rangers in the first round, they don't scare me one bit.
Hank has a knack for folding in the playoffs, and only two guys ever have seemed to show up in the playoffs, Callahan and Richards. The latter hasn't had to do it in a while and is older.
Philly scares me because they have an elite ability to score, and Briere has shown that he is the best playoff man in the game since the lockout. Their goaltending makes them attractive, however to a team like Buffalo with scoring issues.
Boston still scares me. Solid D, can score and Thomas can stand on his head at any time. |

We beat you guys with Miller and our 3rd and 4th lines. So I guess our team was playing at 60% |

True. Just like playing the Flyers in their building is like playing the Pennsylvania State Penitentiary team in front of 18,000 lowlifes, scumbags and degenerates.

Team looked pretty healthy to me. Try losing 270 man games before the 60 game mark. Then make excuses. |

....and that's with all kinds of help from the officiating. The officials played a pretty big role with the Sabres getting momentumized in the second period. They were handing out Vancouver powerplays like Olli hands out candy from the candy van. |

With the Sabres playing 3 in 4 nights, with travel, you should have beat them at 50%. Stop hatin', you only look like a fool. |

...I'm so torn right now. We are so close, you can almost taste the playoffs but with every win we get further away from drafting a possible difference maker like Galchenyuk in a year we clearly don't have what it takes to make it out of the east. |

We do have A LOT of pieces to trade to move up in the draft though...
And if we are going to make the playoffs...
It's likely guys like Roy & Stafford (and Leino, etc) play well enough to gain some trade value |
