What? I've never heard of the NHL doing that? Anyone else with info on this?
Its just like playoff bracketing. 1v8 plays winner of 4v5. 2v7 plays the winner of 3v6??? - JVince117
Look at the 2010 playoffs, best example of it, with all the division winners (including us) being upset. They re seed the teams that are left with the highest seed playing the lowest seed. |

personally, i like the way brennan has progressed...he's tied for the league lead in goals by a defenseman (13)...
he needed to work on his defense, and he's focused on that during his time in the ahl...
plus he's got attitude - b0s0o1
he could move into Leo's spot.. i don't see him being anything more than what he is.. but less of a pansy |

Who's chemistry did he kill when they finished with 121 points in 2009-10?
It's easy to look at this season when they are underachieving.
I'm sure you'd rather have Matt F Ellis on your team because he 'works hard'. - sambarugh
Did they win a Cup?
I'll hang up and listen.... |

It reseeds. In 2010 the top three seeds (WSH, NJ, BUF) all lost their first round series which is why PIT at the 4 seed then played the 8th seeded Canadiens. |

I believe this to be correct. He could be a good one, but time will tell. I thought weber and sekera were going to be a great 3/4 pairing for years to come in buffalo but i can't see that happening anymore. - SabresFaninIndiana

#1 seed Capitals lost to the #8 Canadiens. - Gunner Staal
Irrelevant.
The arguement was about chemistry which they clearly had for the entire season - not why they lost to the Habs. |

Missed the part where I said "reasonably available" huh? HAHA I would agree Stamkos would be that guy. - JVince117
oops...was dreaming
i'm thinking about a different approach...having hodgson furthers it...
still formulating it, though |

Awesome so even if we do somehow upset the Rangers we would still have to go through Boston most likely.

How do you respond in adversity? Teams with true chemistry find ways to battle through adversity. The 2009-2010 Capitals did the exact opposite when it mattered most. |

It is about chemistry when Ovi is a puck hog .
Playoffs are a different animal than the regular season where he can get away with being a puck hog because their is more open ice for him.
In the playoffs , the room to skate is narrowed and his pug hoggish style does not equate to good team chemistry in a playoff atmosphere.
Why is it so difficult to think not every person in this world is all about glitz and glamour or wants everything that is pretty and shiny or errrrrrrr wants all the big names just because they have "the big name"
I'll take all the grunts on my team if the chemistry is right and they produce me Cup because I know that shiny new Ovi car wont get me there seeing that it only has 1 speed.

Boston is probably my most hated team too. Right up there with Philly and Toronto.
I hate losing to Pitt and TBL too for some reason. |

What does that have to do with what we are talking about?
I have watched this game for over 40 years.
Chemistry wins championships.
A player the ilk of Ovechkin is a chemistry killer and I would be so bold to guarantee he will never win a Cup. |

quick stat...ovie has a league-leading 11 overtime goals since the lockout...
methinks he loves the open ice |

A team of all grunts won't win you a cup either. You need talent to win. The grunts are easy to find and virtually interchangable. Some talented players seem to make it their life's work to be a selfish cancer, but that's not the case with most. |
