I think there are a few captains better than Cally, but Brown and Sedin? Not a chance. The under-achieving by the Kings this year is a prime example. As for Sedin, Callahan would never have let his team see him get pushed around and punched in the face 5 consecutive times in the SCF...

Let's not forget that this is Callahan's first season wearing the C. In a year or two, he will be recognized as one of the top 5 leaders in the game.

If I had to pick the best Cap in the league, I'd probably go with Lidstrom, Toews, or Iginla.

In a few years, Callahan will be recognized as one of the great leaders in the league. People tend to forget this is his first year with the C. After guys like Iginla, Doan, Chara, and Lidstrom stop playing, the distinction is going to fall on guys like Toews, Crosby, Parise, Callahan, and Stamkos (I know he's not the cap, but he will be soon).

The point is they are this good. They've been building this team for awhile. Last year we had one of the best road records in the NHL, but we sucked at home. This year our youngsters are maturing.
