It's a fact that the Sabres would be thrilled to make it to 90 pts for this season. How many points do the Nucks have?
- keptupl8

90.

Edit: Wait, is that a trick question?

I understand it but the sabres don't need to re-build... You can't say your a die hard fan if your ok with your team being awful for 3-4 years just so you can get those top picks.
- Smittyx36

Huh? what else would you call fans that have stayed true to their team through the very worst of times? By this rationale, you're only a die hard fan if you cheer for your team when they're good. This doesn't make sense.

Sorry, my bad. I just scanned the list and he was highlighted with a 5 next to him. I didn't really think about it.

So what should we expect too see from Sulzer? never seen nor heard of him before the trade .

Will you please stop putting words in my mouth? My god arguing with you is impossible, you're all over the place and you make things up because they sound good in your head.

A: I NEVER once said that I wanted the Sabres to tank for a top 5 pick.
B: I NEVER once said that I wanted the Sabres to tank for 3-4 years for a top pick

I was simply stating that for some reason you call a team a joke for re-building when they absolutely had to. Sure it sucks but they're going about it in a way to ensure 5-10+ years of organizational success... they aren't buying vets in hoping they can be more competitive.

Guess #3 overall doesn't count. I mean, Toews is the best player in his draft looking back on it 5 1/2 years later. Only one that's even really close IMO is Giroux and even he hasn't done enough to unseat him.

Toews only went #3 because of team needs in front of them...

Pittsburgh took Staal because he measured out to be a more physical presence and with Malkin-Crosby already there that element was sorely needed. Erik Johnson still has all the tools to reach full potential, and you have to admit when he came out he seemed like he'd be Pronger 2.0.

- Fotes18

They do count... You guys got me all over the place here! I was saying tanking is never a SURE thing and that I as a die hard fan I'm not okay with tanking this year! I was wrong to think chicago was succesfull right away. But again out of all those picks only two turned out "kanes/toews. Edm. is on pace for there third 1st overall pick and to me thats pathetic. With all that talent idk how they can be so bad.

He said if you're ok with it, not that you'd stop watching the team. BTW, i've been to your thread to know that most of you aren't OK with it.

His decision making seems mostly sound, but a little slow. He's not spectacular out there but usually makes the safe play. I don't think he'll be there next year.

Heres the reason in point form:
Bad goaltending
Weak defence
Very young core
Key Injuries (Whitney, gagner, Hemsky, Hall and Nuge all spent time on IR this year)

Imagine Crosby, Malkin and Toews on the one team... My god. Seems like a pretty decent group of centers

Then your arguing with me for no reason... This started back on page one with me saying that the sabres should try and win out to make the playoffs rather then tanking for a pick that won't be in the top5. Having your team in the playoffs is a great feeling regardless if they really have a shot at the cup.

Thanks . Seems like a 7 or 8 fill in if needed for injury purposes. Not sue why he was called up since we have Mcnabb . Could be just cause he will be facing his former team.
Doesnt have too bad of stats for the 12 or so games played. 1 assist and a +3
And at least 1 shot per game .

Next year. Not sure if you've noticed, but many are already calling for heads to roll. They've cleaned out almost every member of that 2006 Cup run team except for Hemmer and Horc( whois, sadly, unmoveable). They've since stockpiled great young talent and draft picks at all positions. After this season, the time has come to start adding missing elements via trade or free agency, and start to show some major improvement next year. Playoffs, maybe, but they should definitely be starting to play meaningful games into April. If they look to be drafting top 3 or 5 again next year, I will join the chorus of voices screaming, "when the (frank) do we get to stop sucking?!?!"

BECAUSE THAT TALENT IS ALL 22 AND UNDER......

Oh man, you need help. God bless you my son.

- Fotes18

Chicago won the cup when kane and toews were under 22... And if im right they got into the playoffs kane's rookie year...

So again how does a team with that much talent finish 2nd last!? makes me sick
