Carlson is 22, Neuvirth is 23, and Stewart is 24... IMO thats not selling the future and would improve the team needs short and long term
- Killbot460

I really don't know much about Carlson, and I'm not completely sold on Neuvirth. Stewart I do like but he has fallen drastically but still would bring the edge the top 6 needs. But none of this matters because we all know no major moves will be made any time soon.

And Murray (if we chose him) is younger and has as much if not more upside than Carlson...and PRV is what? Almost 21? Dubnyk is mid 20s but Neuvirth's numbers are not any better in an equal amount of games and playing for a better team.

Ok Pilgor puppet. ...don;t worry just fukking around with you, but you do seem to mimic his statements

Carlson is not just a little more give than take he is twice. He also is not a shot blocker not a hitter. He is less than Petry. He does not even play as much as Petry.

You have a blind love for Stewart and a blind hate for PRV...

- OilHorse

have you watched carlson play? he plays with great poise and looks more composed than Petry. Haha I can't believe you, Carlson has way better stats than Petry has played more NHL games and is 2 years younger. He's a great puck mover and legit top pairing dman, where as petry is a top 4 on the worst team in the league prolly a number 5-6 on any other team.

Yes i love stewart, clowe and Lucic.... don't like PRV cause he is a chode chomper, he has size and doesn't use it, He'll never through at hit or drop the mitts. Doesn't use his speed right or anything. Since he has such high trade value the oil shoud move him before it drops.

PS i don't recall pilgor ever talking about Stewart

I know no moves will be made cause Tambo doesn't have balls.... Carlson is a top pairing dman, better than any oiler dman... he even had 37 points and was +21 when he was only 21 years old. Neuvirth is similar to dubs, not consistant, but i would be willing to take a chance on him.

Carlson was a +21 on teh 4th best GHA team in the league last year...to put it in perspective...Washington is now the 19th best in GA and Carlson is a -6.

Washington is poised to place about the same in GF this year as last year and his point total is about the same...which in and of itself is not good or bad, but he has not improved upon it.

Petry is the same size, hits almost twice as often and blocks about the same %-wise...the are both about the same in giveaway and take away %'s and they are very similar in min/game...Other than the fact that Carlson has played on a better team and played about a full season more there is nothing to differentiate the two.

Murray is the best Dman in this draft...since we have Petry, who is == Carlson then we are better off not going for Carlson and taking Murray.

Griffin Reinhart is a good prospect no doubt, but Ryan Murray is better now and has a much higher ceiling than Reinhart.
- Starbuck

Where is your proof and your link.
Reinhart skates almost as fast as Murray but is a larger body and is better defensively. Also the Difference between them as players such as harder shot(Reinhart), Hits harder(Reinhart), Fights more(Reinhart) all arrows pointing in favor of Rienhart.
If you adjust Murray's points for the twelve games he is behind Reinhart at 1 point every 2 games as his scoring has shown it gives him 33 points which is 1 more point than Reinhart. Now that is a huge upside difference.
Again if the Oilers end up picking a defenceman IMO it would be Rienhart.
Do not give me the fact that Reinhart plays for Edmonton Oil Kings bull squabble because that is only an arguement of someone that is reaching at straws.

27 points in 39 GP = .692 PPG
in 51 GP he would score over 35 points at that pace. Why would you lie? you know we can look this stuff up.

Let's put it another way: I haven't seen one mock draft or scouting report that calls Griffin Reinhart the best dman in the draft, let alone the one most likely to be taken first. If you're convinced he's the best, that's great - we could get him and it would be a steal. But since it seems like we could pick 7th and chances are he'd still be there (because obviously no other GM or scout in the league sees the diamond in the rough that you do), why in the hell would we pick him 2nd overall? Why not trade the pick? If you thinking everyone is missing something with Reinhart, than you must logically also believe that Tambs would have to be a moron to not trade down and take him later in the draft instead of taking a player upwards of 5 positions before where he's projected to go.

I'll stick to ISS, Central Scouting and Bobby Mac...all three agree...Murray is a top Dman inthe draft as of right now.

ISS:
Murray 5th
Reinhart: 10th

CS: NA skaters
Murray: 3rd
Reinhart: 8th

BobMac:
Murray: 3rd
Reinhart: 9th

Two of the main scouting organizations and one of the most respected hockey commentators in NA all have Murray rated much higher than Reinhart...and that does not diminish the fact that Reinhart has moved up fromthe mid-teens to top 10.

I don't know why you aren't getting this:

none of the scouts have Rhienhart rated in the top 2-3 for this years draft.

You can stick to your opinion all you want, but you are in the vast minority and have next to nothing to back it up.

and even if he thinks Reinhart will be the best, why take him at 2/3? Trade down and take him at 7-10. There's simply no argument for taking Reinhart at 2nd overall.
