If I ever move into the modern era and get a xbox 360 I would be down for this. I moved into the smartphone era a week or so back so next up is gaming. |

My oldest son set up the name, I'll check on it when i get home from work tonight and message you, or just send you the friend request. Can't remember if he ended it with 87 or 71. Tough choice |

Here is the Mark Madden article referenced earlier by somebody:

The comparison to the NFL is an interesting one--and valid in terms of wanting to protect marquis names.
The Garage League is back in vogue for sure. The Canes/Rangers game last night was largely like watching paint dry. The amount of interference that goes uncalled now is incredible, and even more evident when you watch from the stands. |

The article is dead on. All my friends are more football fans than hockey pretty much. They watch EVERY game possible, no matter the teams. They enjoy players on all teams and as i said, will watch any football. I cant bear to sit through a game with two random teams because aside from liking the pens/mario since I was a lil kid I realize I have zero interest in the NHL aside from that. Its sad but if you take the pens out of the NHL tomorrow I would never sit through a full game again, just check who won the cup, kinda like basketball/baseball for me now. Even if I wanted to watch some random hockey every team is missing top players all the time anyways so whats the point.
Drop the instigator rule and nystrom cant just say no to engo and asham from behind the linesmen, problem solved, that hit never happens because nystrom knows who is gonna come calling. Apply this to 90% of the BS that goes on every night and clutterbuk, nystrom, marchand and all the rest of the cheap shot artists who use the linesmen as bodyguards will suddenly find the KHL/swedish elite very attractive places to play. |
