Did you happen to miss the whole discussion, the guy was trying to lay down birth rates in Europe as the reason that Canada will continue to dominate hockey forever. Forget population and interest in the states going ten fold, its the european birth rate that will be the cause of it all. They (Europe as a nation) will never dominate hockey.

It's possible, but you also said the fixtures are 6 years old right?
I know the ballasts are the important thing to run the lamps but the circuits/wiring could be an issue....also, the clamps/lamp holders could be too old and causing the ballasts to push hard to run the lamps.

If you can, you are better off buying new fixtures, T5 lamps. you can use a fixture with only two T5 lamps that will be better economically and look crisper.

If all match up; lamp type/lamp qty/voltage(very important)...then yes, it should last at least one year. Hours of usage also comes into play.
How long are these fixtures running for in 24hrs?
