I bet Burke gave him the 5.5 because he doesn't really give a (frank), considering that salaries are more than likely getting rolled back (again) during the lockout anyway. Sign him to 5.5 now, he'll get around $4.5 mil after the roll back, which is probably a more accurate figure for grabcockski.

I bet he did not have a choice because he's got (frank)all at center. Maybe they would like Gomez.

Perhaps, but a couple years ago Burke was saying he wasn't going to pay players (like Hagman, for example) top-6 dollars on the basis that they were playing top-6 minutes by default (because they had nobody to legitimately deserve those minutes)...which is certainly the case with Grabcockski. No way he's a top-6 on a contender.

Fine. $7.380001 million for Desharnais, and not a nickel more.

St. Louis, Nashville, Pittsburgh (without Crosby), New Jersey, Florida (Not really a contender but leading the division), Dallas( Same as Florida) and Chicago (without Toews).

Edit: I think Grabo would be 2nd line centre on the Hawks anyways with Toews their Kane is playing as the no.1 right now and Andrew Shaw is their no.2.

Half of your list can't be considered contenders. If you take that list of remaining teams, and delete each of their #1 centres, most are no longer contenders. Bravo.

We're talking about playing in the top 6. And we have to eliminate their number 1 centres as well that changes everything.
