I was at a Jays' game years ago, sitting above their bullpen. Relief pitchers were signing autographs before the game and tossing the items back up into the seats for the fans. I saw Billy Koch (he was still a hot-shot closer at the time) coming around the corner and ran down the steps and hollered asking for him to sign a ball for my kid (who was 2 or 3 at the time). Instead of just ignoring me, he actually looked up, found me, and said "no". I couldn't believe it.
