seriously if they don't clean house at the end of the season (if Gainey, Gauthier are still there) I might apply to be fan of another team.
As for Cunneyworth, they have put him in a difficult situation...first job in the NHL and that may be his first and only shot...pretty unfair. - stinger67
He'll get a shot in Buffalo...he'll go back there as an assistant and take over when Ruff steps down or gets fired. |

Ronald Lawrence Wilson (born May 28, 1955) is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey player and head coach. In his coaching career in the NHL, he has coached the Toronto Maple Leafs, San Jose Sharks, Washington Capitals and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He also was head coach of the United States men's national ice hockey team at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Wilson holds dual citizenship of the United States and Canada.
Early yearsWilson was born in Windsor, Ontario, and raised in Fort Erie, Ontario. He moved from Fort Erie to Riverside, Rhode Island, when he was 12 years old.[1] As a result, Wilson holds dual citizenship of Canada and the United States, and has represented Team USA in both playing and coaching.
Both his father, Larry Wilson, and his uncle, Johnny Wilson played for the Detroit Red Wings in the 1950s and later coached in the NHL.
He began his career playing hockey at East Providence High School and then went on to attend Providence College, where he set several NCAA defenseman scoring records and was named the ECAC Player of the Year in 1975. He was a teammate of Brian Burke and Jeffrey Nixon[2] at Providence. Burke and Wilson now work together for USA Hockey and formerly for the Toronto Maple Leafs. |

unfortunately...yes.
He might be the worst coach for a young team trying to develop players...which is not exactly a strength for the habs.

I agree.
It's not like he came out of nowhere. He put in his time at the AHL as head and assistant coach, put in his time in the NHL as assistant and I think anyone in the know would recognize the situation he's been put in here.
