Ottawa 14th!?

Yea...I think they will start to slow down too...but not die!

Common Ek....the East likely needs atleast 90-92 pts to make 8th. Ottawa has 65pts already, 17games left.

That means they only need to win about 7-8 of their remaining 17 games to make it. And youre suggesting they win 4-5 out of remaining 17!?

Oh, ok.

I got laughed at by many when I said the Blues would win the Central this year. (Hi JJ )

There is still a lot of season left and Detroit is right with us, but I still see us winning the Central and pushing Vancouver for the top spot in the West.

Getting excited about playoff hockey in STL!

I'm happy for the Blues fan base, and people like yourself. I can't believe how good of a team you guys have this year. Out of curiousity, what made you think the Blues would win the Central this year (besides of course your love for the team).

If you ask me, I'd say they're the biggest surprise in the NHL this season.

i hope your predictions are right ek. it's not that i'm afraid to face the caps in the first round, it's just that they seem to have our number in the postseason and the jets just seem a lot easier to take on.

on a side note, my buddy made this page on facebook and asked me to help him get to 100 likes before march ended. he's got a bet with some other guy who made a twitter to see who could get 100 likes/followers first. so i was hoping some of you guys could like the page.

not gonna lie... it's actually pretty funny stuff. also, feel free to post your own pics/memes and like/share them:

Last year was disappointing, but we had a lot of injuries to key players and didn't have the depth to withstand them.

This year, we signed several experienced players to add to our depth. Our younger guys now have played for several years and Halak had been in the West for a full season. I had a feeling that this team was about to take off, and they have. They have still had several injuries to key guys (Andy Mac/Steen/Perron at the start of the season) but the depth has allowed them to battle through it. Hitchcock has been great in getting everyone to buy in and play a complete game, which is needed for a team without big time stars and injuries to several of your better players.

The Blues had some growing pains over the past several years dealing with a rebuild, but they did it the right way and are now stacked for success today and the future. The only thing holding them back right now is ownership issues. Hopefully they can work them out and keep this team together for a long time as it will be a lot of success for the Blues in the near future.

no. why? we beat them in Feb. without Crosby. it will be a heck of a series and it could go either way, but the Penguins are just as good as the Bruins without Crosby.
- SuperHenderson13

Boston will lay the beat-down on the Pens in the play-offs I think; they're just too (frank)ing brutish.

If they manage to stop Geno and Neal through pain and suffering, the Pens are done.

I also doubt we will be seeing 87 any time soon (if they brought him back, you know one of Lucic, Ference, Thornton, Chara or Marchand would immediately ring his bell given the opportunity).

I'd say the Blues are better because of team defense, improved goaltending, better coaching and offensive depth.

I'm more surprised by the teams that I thought would be good that are not so good like Buffalo, LA and the Caps than I am about the Blues turn around.

I'm happy to see the blues doing well this season as well, but in my own homer opinion i think the sens are the biggest surprise. Picked 15th by most, and in the playoffs right now, crazy! Blues are a close 2nd though.

Pretty friggin' lame.

Points up, games in hand, and on a current three game winning streak. What's it all based on?

It's like the webmaster here just wants to say something stupid and non-sensible for the act of getting a reply or some feedback..

Oh yeah....NEVERMIND

LA to me has been the biggest dissapointment. I truly thought this was the year, that a team knocked the Sharks off the throne in the Pacific Division.

Heck, the Yotes are the team that currently sit above us in the standings (although I don't see that holding up). Meanwhile, LA sits 4th in the division, and more importantly, 10th in the conference!

All those big name acquisitions seem to be for not. Particularly amazing considering how phenomenal Jonathan Quick has been this season.

This has to drive Burke NUTS!
Burke sets up his roster, has every intention of making the playoffs, so confident that he trades two 1st rounders for Kessel...and then finishes 2nd last in the league.

Ottawa sells off some veterans and is ready to make a rebuild. Hires a solid coach and trades for and then signs a half decent (at the time) goalie and look at that...they're in the playoffs.

One GM thinks they're a playoff team and they're out
The other puts his expectations to be out and to build for the future but yet he's in.

It's a very VERY sad time to be a Leafs fan...

I never said I was changing.

I said I was pleased with the positive support he provided and will continue to live up to those expectations by steadfastly staying the course.

I apologize for any confusion this might have caused, or momentary disappointment anyone felt.

And yes, now they have Lehner and Bishop.
