I've been of the mindset that trading for an already drafted center prospect was the way to go. Granted, it's only a small sample size, but now that I've seen Hodgson play, this should no longer be an option. If you can use the two firsts to move up and take Grigorenko or Galchenyuk, fine, although I still have reservations about such a Euro-heavy draft class. More often than not, they turn out to be great regular season players and that's about it. However, Hodgson really puts them ahead. I totally forgot about him when thinking about an attainable young center.

My favorite thing I saw him do was on the powerplay early in the game. He got the puck at the halfwall and attacked the open spot and got quality shot off. I haven't seen someone on this team willing or able to do that since Briere.

I have a self admitted North American bias. I also accept there there are exceptions to any rule.

The nice thing about the two you mentioned is that they have been trained and have been playing in North America during their developmental years. Just something to think about.

The only games I can see Enroth playing in the rest of the year is

Home against the Hurricanes.
Home against the Canadians.
Home against the Wild.

Besides that... its MILLER TIME

I only caught the first 2 periods, but wow. That was the first time I noticed Stafford for good reasons all season.

Seemed like everyone picked up their game in the absence of Goose. They looked more like a team than before the deadline.

Unfortunately I missed all the "shenanigans" in the 3rd. But Tropp Plays his role well. Like the kid.

Looking forward to seeing this team for the last 19 games, especially how the 63-19-21 line works.

Hodge brought something to the table last night and the other guys fed off of it.

Myers and Ehrhoff continue to be the reason why Miller is playing so great lately.

For being a "soft team after trading Gaustad/Kassian" I liked the physicality that we brought forward.

I don't really think we won a single fight last night but it was great to see guys standing up for teammates especially Myers at the end and Weber against Getzlaf after running Miller.

Starting Miller tonight is not obvious that they are showcasing him.. it is OBVIOUS that we are trying to get into the playoffs IMO.

Miller is playing lights out again. He had 3 shutouts in the month of February alone!

How many headlines is that for this blog now? Three? I can't keep track. Why constantly change the title? Is it an attempt to trick people into clicking because they think he posted something new?

Its fine. I dont take #14 out on Kunitz because that bum Milan Kraft wore it. Although it might take a few games to rid the mind of Connolly.

Hopefully over the next 10+ years of seeing Hodgson scoring 60-85 points a season it will help delete those memories of glass timmy.

I liked it a lot that Myers dropped the mitts. I think he might have thrown 1 or 2 punches though. I think he was just trying to hug it out.

He was clearly trying to avoid throwing a punch with his recently healed right hand, all he did was try and land some lefts. That's A-OK with me, in fighting as in gift giving it is the thought that counts.

Completely agree.

I am curious of why kaleta didn't throw any fistacuffs at the end there.

The Ducks were really bad cry babies at the end of that game. I mean come on Getzlaf ran Miller

why should kaleta involve himself in that at the end of the game...there's no tactical advantage in any way, shape or form

So that a guy like Myers doesn't risk rebreaking his wrist.

Regehr went straight into the lockerroom after his fight. I couldn't tell if it was injury related or if it was just because his fight major was more than what was on the clock so he said f*ck it.
