Well I've been around long enough... the team name is a joke from a while back... the people I talk to on a regular basis know which team I cheer for.. and I spend majority of my time in the canucks blog.. a little in the main.. and then occasionally in others depending on the time of night and where the action is.

I'm sure you all think Luongo is overrated..

I could tell tonight even with minimal passes he has great vision and skill with moving the puck in a positive way.

I found the most impressive plays tonight were how fast he seemed to get the puck off his stick and make the right pass, despite never playing with these guys and never playing in the system, that to me just shows how good his vision is and can be.

Great lateral movement in the slot, too. He always seemed to be floating through the empty spots between ducks players. Except for on our mostly abysmal power play, but I don't fault Hodgson for that really. This was the worst PP game I've seen where we still scored 1 and a half points on the PP.

actually hockey is a sport where you can watch any game knowing nothing about the teams and still enjoy yourself , anywhere from the little mights up to NHL
- mandrinhawk1

I consider myself the biggest hockey fan that I know (personal life, not HB life) and I find myself watching teams that I don't see much of and asking, who is that player? It doesn't help that all of my friends immediately ask me about players and such... Unless you're a star in the NHL it's not uncommon to play in obscurity to the opposite conference...

Monday was crazy for me... my phone literally blew up at about 3:30 yesterday... I had to charge my phone twice on monday alone. At one point I was chatting with a pal and hung up to 10 texts from friends asking me about the Kassian-Hodgson trade and even from the really uneducated fans as to why we gave up Gaustad.... In a way I hated that. I feel like us getting a 1st for Goose should have been self explanitory as to why it was a brilliant move by Darcy.

I just loved a few of those neutral zone passes.. puck wasn't on his stick more than half a second before it was already off to the right man to successfully complete the breakout.... I love those plays, the little underrated plays that honestly have cost this team valuable points.... This team is in this situation in part because of those, which have led to terrible turnovers in either our zone or our half of the neutral zone... Those are game killers.

I only troll oilers boards.... I like your team... but Miller is extremely overrated... 1) Ward.. 2) Miller... its just my opinion. Half of you guys wanted Miller gone a month ago... so its not like I'm way out of line here.

Miller is the only person I would bash... think you got a great player in Cody Franchise... and wanted to talk about tonights game a bit.

You are a much bigger man than me. Oilers, Leafs, Hawks, Bruins, and the Flames when they used to have a fan base on here.

Hell, I'd troll my own mother if I could get a kick out of it.

You don't need to tell me that. I live in market of my favorite team and still pay for the Center Ice package. I actually have to watch movies like Miracle during the summer because I start to go through withdrawl.

I was responding to your qoute " Either you're a fan or your not. Nobody is just a fan of the sport with no favorite team" the sport is more than the NHL maybe during the summer leave the TV, go to a local rink and discover that for the sport itself

I wish I could! there are no kids in my neighborhood... all the families around us had kids my age! Oh well, I'm gonna dable in some roller hockey for the first time in my life this summer... we'll see how that goes...

I need some new skates though, might have to make a financial choice of playing roller or buying new skates for fall/winter beer leagues... Gotta live the dream, ya know?

I actually really like Ehrhoff's game these days. I'd have to say overall though, I've been a big fan of Pommer. I like all the little things he's always done year in and year out. He's solid defensively and his offensive game has always been good too.

Ya he seems to fly under the radar... gets a good number of points... nothing flashy.. quietly gets the job done.

I wish ehrhoff made smarter plays overall... hes got a nice quick release.. and can do a lot of good things.. just always seemed to whiff on the puck at the worst possible moment.

He's been excellent since he came back from his injury, but his game had really started to come around a few weeks before that. I think he'll look even better next year since he'll have some more familiarity with everything. He's pretty much what I expected. I'd love for his shot to find the back of the net a little more often, but as long as he's contributing, I'm ok with what he's been doing.

Miller was terrible after the Lucic hit until the last 20 games. Since then I bet he's been amongst the best in the league.

A year ago, everyone in here was calling Pominville over rated and had the worst contract on the team at 5.3M cap hit

I tried explaining that a guy who barely misses any games, is good for 20+ goals and 60+ points $5-5.5M is valuable. I wouldve put my money on him being named the next captain everyone else thought it was going to be Vanek.

Pominville is having another normal Pominville year and everyone loves him, probably because hes our point leader and just got the C.

I won't argue that... but I'm too tired to get into the Ryan Miller being overrated debate
