Boy the Ducks acted like a bunch of little female doges at the end of the game tonight.

I like having you guys here to kind of set the record straight.

So many people on this board expect the moon from new guys, and it's really not fair. The points will come and to any knowledgeable hockey fan can see that... It was a defensive game tonight and he responded well... Was down covering the slot and helping to move the puck out of the zone.

I just think when he get's more comfortable the shots and passes will be there.

My only issue is there isn't more of him to go around... A center like that could really help a couple of the wingers we have here in Stafford, Ennis, Heck, he could help Gerbe, Leino, and Kaleta as well... I'm excited to continue to watch his growth as a Sabre... People just need to make sure they don't expect him to be a 90 pt guy right now, maybe not ever *Garth Cough*

IMO he'll become a 30-75 guy. Might peak at 85 pts or so. Like I said, a top 2nd line C on a good team. He'll likely wear your C someday, unless Myers does. He will come to play every night IMO, which will be the reason he gets your C.

Miller and Roy for Hiller and Perry?

If I can get something like what we got out of him tonight, I'm cool with it. The points will come if he keeps up the effort. The character part of him is actually what I like the most. It's a nice change from guys like Roy. The team is starting to trend toward the younger players, so he should fit in nicely.

You just know if he regains form this team could easily play in the ECF. It's not like the teams they would project to play in the first two rounds are known for their scoring prowess.

We all thought Myers would wear the C one day but the more I see of him, he doesn't really strike me as captain material. Maybe because he is young but he just doesn't see to have "it". He will wear an A one day though.

I always say that points are a direct result of the people around you as well... The only way you can get those apples are if someone is consistently converting those chances... I like our wingers and have felt for a while now that our wingers have what it takes, but our center position has been so weak they haven't gotten the true opportunities to be great.

I was hoping he'd be pissed that they traded his boyfriend Gaustad but nope. He keeps playing like that and the Sabres will have a good shot at doing some damage in the playoffs.

It ticked me off when one analyst talking about the trade and the way Hodgson might struggle with the fact that he's going from the best team in the NHL to a team on the outside fighting to get in talked about how it might be tough for him to go to a team that just won't compete for a cup this year... Who say's they won't? How many teams have we seen with hot goalies make deep runs... if a goalie is hot and the team chips goals in then why can't this team make a run? I'm not saying it will but to say it's out of the question sort of made me angry.

GAA is more of a team stat.... his SP is still average and most of his career has been average except for one all-star season
