I don't know man, the guy hasn't got a clue.

You can say that about most of the bloggers on this site. Garth is the worst of them all. I think he spends more time trying to come up with catchy titles than the actual blog. usually 1 paragraphs with numerous spelling errors and highlight videos. He also tries to troll other teams fan bases. Yost, Levine and Frenchie are the only bloggers i read on a regular basis.

According to the Toronto Sun, this little diddy......

Schenn was still whining about the fans at the ACC and their sarcastic booing

Get used to it Mr. Schenn....... your play has not inspired anyone to cheer

When the (frank) does that happen?

With that being said the Oil did that a couple years back when we got a shot on net. The players hate it, but really if you can't (frank)ing get a shot on net for 30 minutes what do you expect?

I liked your article though i just have to say, Yakupov has already been hurt this year so whos to say he will remain healthy? I really hope Oilers can get Grigorenko at 3 that would be incredible, though if he is taken 2nd by montreal i see them taking a Dman at 3, yea we got lots of D prospects but no one who is gonna be a number one guy like Murray
- ALEDDO

Hall had a history with those injuries, while Nail for the most part has remained healthy. Aside from that it's just a bold prediction from me.

As far as who'd you pick with Grigo gone, I think the playoffs of Galchenyuk will have a lot of weight on this.

I personally think Musil could become a 1st D.

Problem is a lot of teams can name a bunch of prospects and say they have enough at that position, hell i can do it for the Wings too (Smith, Sproul, Ouellett, Almqvist, Backman, Marchenko, Jensen) but that doesn't mean the team has everything it needs. Oilers need that stud #1 dman and although it's not impossible that one of those becomes that, they shouldn't count on it and drafting a blue chip dman could be exactly what they need to do to go with all their forwards.

I do understand drafting the best available player no matter the position though...something the Wings do.

I fully understand you bud.

I just think that the fact that the oilers have a weak pipeline on D is overrated. I think they'll draft a forward again this year.

Nice write up, frenchie. One question, why would they feel that grigorenko is a risk?
- bonzo11

Bad on faceoffs, scores 6 points against a lower-tier team and then gets shutout against a better one. Most of it is because of his ankle injury, which he shouldn't have played on at the WJC. But these russians have love those tournaments, see Markov.

I think those statements are really fast to come compared to the small praise that he was getting beforehand. Reminds me of Couturier last year. People thought he wouldn't be producing at the other level because he didn't improve his production while Huberdeau did. Almost noone mentionned the fact that he had a mono to begin the season.

I totally agree with you, I'm just saying critics are faster to come than praise for these two, and it shouldn't be that way.

I could go beyond that but you would tell me I'm a homer.
