Aulie got called up today, With TB's D he'll never go back

Probably not, he basically was only kept down in Toronto cause he was the easiest to move down... not enough room because of Komi...

Huddle, I know your saying it's a good 'Hockey' trade, and it does sound like it. Do you think 1 player has a higher ceiling for potential than the other? (please no 'well Aulie is 6'-6" so his ceiling is higher jokes lol)

Ashton is 2 years younger... Does that help at all? or is Aulie better right now because he has 2 years more experience than him?

Plymouth.

For all London's talent, they have size issues (why they went after Austin Watson) and can be neutralized along the boards. Plymouth has at times done a very good job of doing that this year. Plymouth plays a lot like Boston with size alone the boards (Wilson, Devane, Dempsey, Noesen, etc.). Not to mention Wedgewood can win a series on his own.

London looked like an even less gutless version of the Nucks on Sunday. I watched R Rupert over react every time his brother got hit and Ottawa man-handled them all game long. We lost and unfortunately, Mrazek had one of the few bad games I've ever seen. In a 7 game series though, I doubt London would be stoked to play us. There didn't seem to be any push back and it makes me believe if they met up with plymouth, London would go down swinging. My prediction.

I was actually surprised that Burke dealt Aulie. I think Aulie, being the size he is, was naturally going to take longer to fully develop and by the time he is 24 or 25, I'd expect him to be a very good NHL D. That being said, I like Carter Ashton a lot. Unfortunately, i think the Leafs needed both long term.

Exactly. I actually had a loooong chat with Mitchell Heard while playing some NHL12 (random, I know), and he literally said: "we're not worried about London-- we're more concerned with Kitchener."

The age helps a tad, and gives them flexibility with waivers. That being said you either get a 4-5 Dman or a 2nd-3rd line power winger... neither are impact top pairing/top line upside types.
