Let's say the Habs DO go out and land another 1st round pick. Is it wise then, to maybe pick up a good goalie prospect? I hear. There's one expected to go in the first round, but the name slips my mind...oh, wait! Malcolm Subban...that's it! Can you imagine? PK would step up his game to help his baby brother play...we can give him the time to, I don't know, properly season in the minors, instead of rushing him to the forefront? Also gives us some insulation in case Carey Price doesn't work out for us. (Not saying he won't...I personally love Carey and think he's great.)

Just a thought.

As of today, it would be a reach to pick a goalie with the top5 pick, as there are better skillsets in forwards, and especially D's. The first G expected to be picked, Vasilevski, will be picked around 15th or so.

Too many Ds in the top 10 this year... despite what Steven is saying, i dont think the habs can afford to blow this year's selection on a d-man. It'd simply be stupid considering how many d-man there are in the system and the glaring fact that the habs are hurting for offense.

Yeah but not many D's in the top5. I'd be fine with a D for only one player, Jacob Trouba. This guy will be a force reckoned in the league for years. Great (frank)ing player.

Typical Timmins pick, I can smell it.

At this point the only thing that matters to me is gauthier getting fired. I won't sleep well until that day

nice blog, too bad Montreal's brain trust never thinks logically and with a real purpose towards the future...
- DeathStar

that makes absolutely no sense, where do you think Subban, Price, Pacioretty and Desharnais came from? try the Hamilton Bulldogs....what a ridiculous statement drafting players has definetly not been the Habs issue in the past 5 years, more signing current NHLers who are past their prime or just signing them for too long

drafting is definetly not the issue, wtf kind of complaints u have about Tinordi, Beaulieu and Gallagher anyways? considering they've been drafting pretty late for a few years they've done pretty damn good

Huberdeau won't be a center in the NHL. Bjugstad will center him.

Howden will be a good checker and Petrovic will be reliable.

Markstrom is awesome.

One guy to watch is Kyle Rau. Small guy, but he has guts. Really liked him at WJC

i'd say for the panthers the future is reliant on 3 players, Markstrom, Gudbranson and the guy no one ever seems to notice, Kulikov u got a strong offensive D a strong Defensive D and probably a strong goaltender the rest of those guys will do what they can, Huberdeau is gonna take a while though, i do agree Howden will be a Force possibly like a Dustin Brown and he might get the C eventually too

Shouldn't you be discussing the firing of Wilson on another blog?

You are the second coming of Nostradamus. No one else shared your vision. No one else foresaw the future as you envisioned it. You shall henceforth be known as the Great profit Reflux. The masses shall bow down to you. Children will learn about you in school for generations. I tip my hat to your genius good sir.
