Can't agree. He had nearly the same stats as Wallace in the last 8 games and yet they want to throw 9 mil at Wallace?
How can a guy go from a valuable possession receiver one year to "over the hill" the next? I understand time waits for no one, but he really didn't look any different. Tomlin can't manage the clock half the time so I really have to question his assessment in this instance.
Hines will play somewhere else and fit right back in to his bruising blocker / over the middle role. Raw deal if you ask me. - brianb0422
He is not the same player. He just isn't, sorry. |

Point taken about Tomlin, but he's not the only guy involved in personnel issues.
The Ward I saw last year could never get a sliver of separation. Besides who are you going sit to get him on the field? If I had a choice I'd much rather have Cotchery back and that's not looking good 'cause the team is so screwed with the cap. |

Ward is close to being the best receiver of his generation. Not for fantasy football but for real football. I'm not a steelers fan but I have a lot of respect for him as a football player. |

i do too but you can tell he fell out of their game plan... he just stopped getting the ball bc ben had wallace deep, and if we needed to go short we always did that stupid 3rd and short play to moore on the flats, which never worked
i would hope ward would retire and become a wr coach for the steelers.. or we would put him as a cb |

why is letang not considered in norris?? understand karlsson but why lidstrom? he has 31 pts in 62 games, yes he is a great dman, one of the best playing, but letang has 31 pts in 39 games...he was injured, if he didnt get cheap shoted by pacs he would be up there in pts...
it just pisses me off bc everyone who talks about letang says he should be considered but he never is... |

His time is up, it happens. I fear that the obsession with fantasy football clouds people's judgement on players like Ward who do it all. He was great. |

Letang put himself into a dumb position there.
I remember doing that once in AA Bantams. I learned really quick to not extend myself like that. |

Letang could have stayed verticle and not lowered himself to that level. That is a really good way to get smeared at any level of hockey. |
