Im anxious to see Cody play tonight.As far as Kassian I would of liked to see him get more time but honestly other then a couple fights hes been dissapointing and looked lost up here.Usually when a rookie comes up he plays like Kaleta or McNabb and tries to make an impression.Im going to hold off on my thoughts with reguards to Regier tho till I see this kid play a whole season.On paper his trade dealine deals look like the best of any gm but thats on paper and so did Boyes and Lenio so yea.

Not sure exactly how bonuses work in the CBA, or if that will change at all in the new CBA, but would it be possible to resign him to a hometown discount salary of 1.5-2 million, and then tack on a nice sized "thanks for fetching us that first and moving" bonus? I'd love to have him back on the team, but as we agreed, anywhere in the ballpark of $3m is WAY too steep.

I think you'll end up happy with Kassian. He's said he's trying to really get his all around game going, so if he's not as physical as you'd like, be patient with him. Hopefully it will come. Most of us here in Buffalo were waiting for that to happen. I'm a bit sad to see him go, but Hodgson is a guy that we've really needed. Gragnani was awesome in the playoffs but has struggled this year. Give him some time as well.

I had no issue with Pyatt. He was never billed as much of a PWF here and once he was used as a 3rd line utility forward he was a really effective player.

Bernier was the worst. He had a terrific first 10 games where he played like the next Bertuzzi and then he just outright stopped and became a poopty not every night player mixed with the odd game that made you go "DAYUMM!".

Ehrhoff was brutal when he first arrived as well. All he was good for was the odd rush and then missing the net by 8 feet.

I know I heard earlier you guys liked his skating ability as a big guy and that he had soft hands.

It is, but better to overpay at center, generally, than at wing. I think Gaustad would be 3rd line on a lot of teams. The middle of the ice is a weak position just about everywhere that isn't a contender.
