I love Cody so don't get me wrong when I say this, but he needs swift wingers to be most effective. He isn't a bad skater, but he isn't going to be blowing past anyone on the rush either. Put him with some guys who can fly and you'll see his passing blossom. |

I'd take him, Id like a heavyweight on this time....one with a personality is a bonus. I'd rather dress a heavyweight than Ellis everynight. - Homer
I can't believe we've let ellis play this entire season so far. what happened to "Matt is a great leader for the kids in Rochester." or "Matt can teach the prospects what it means to really work hard" or "I wish I could instill Matt's work ethic into a player with natural talent?" |

poop. I didn't realize that Parros was 6'5 228. I thought he was like 6'2 tops.
thats it. I'm trading for Parros in NHL 12 tonight!

I guess. Seeing as they only fight other heavyweights and play about 2 minutes a game I just don't see their use. He really is one of last goons around these days, surely his time is up soon. |

Parros would be a great pickup for the Sabres. And he's not a wussy like most of our "enforcers." |

yeah, but I'd rather see him take on Lucic or Thorton rather than have to watch Goose and Kaleta each Lucic punches....they can be scratched half the games or more for all I care, just nice to have around when we play the big boys. |

I wonder if kassian will drop the gloves before then...
I also wonder if Kassian will run anybody on Buffalo.
I could see Kaleta just tormenting the helllllllll out of Kassian. - JVince117
Kassian catches Hodgson with his head down crossing the blue line.
I would love Kaleta to focus on Kassian. The twins and Kesler will get a free pass |

no room in the nhl for enforcers anymore...you cant be wasting a roster spot for a guy who will only play 5-6 minutes.
id much rather see a 4th line of ellis goose kaleta next year, assuming goose resigns. maybe get parros as the 13th forward, but he cannot be playing night in and night out when goals are at such a premium |

The first problem is everything he says comes across as whining. The tone, the manerisms, the nervousness. It's just the way he talks.
Second problem is everything he says gets scrutinized and dissected repeatedly. Non-news becomes news.
I don't care what he has to say. I care how many pucks he stops and how many games he wins. |

That sucks.
Raymond/Higgins/Hansen played so well with Hodgson because he even admitted that he just had to throw the puck in front of them and since they're fast, they'd always catch up to it and they'd enter the zone easily. |

Can't see Anaheim not resigning Parros and if they don't.
He'll get a contract much like Boogaard did when he became a UFA, 1.5-1.6per. |

Put a goon out there and rotate the extra playing time between some skilled forwards.
That might even keep the 4th line off of the ice in the last few minutes of a game where we're down a goal. Imagine that. |

I haven't seen Parros play enough to know for sure, but I doubt he can be much worse than Ellis. I know he's a "fan favorite" but that guy is a waste of roster space, and he doesn't even drop em.
Also, I'm not sure Gaustad will resign. (No one is, technically) If it was being talked about, I'm sure Goose would have said something to his "best friend" Miller, and Miller wouldn't have been so publicly upset about the trade. Also, he would definitely warrant a raise if he took one for the team (in the form of the trade) like that, if the plan was to resign him all along. |

He wants 3Mil a season. Way to rich for a 4th line.

My problem is
Goose at 3mil or someone like Stoll or Kelly at 3mil?
I for one would take Stoll or Kelly at that price over Goose. |

No way Goose re-signs here. We are not giving him $3 million per. Someone else will. |
