Ben Eager? Really, wait til he breaks your little forwards in half.
I see some serious Oil injuries coming over the next couple years with this guy in the line up.

Our small forwards did great against a very physical and chippy Flyers team last week.
Has anyone heard any details since the new alignment was voted against? Is it going to stay as is for next season or does something have to be decided in the off season?

It will be decided when they negotiate the new CBA this summer.

It will have to be decided for the 13-14 year now. It kinda sounded like Fehr just hsan't talked to the players yet and didn't want to make a major decision that soon.
Kassian a beast? Ask people in Buffalo the chances of this happening, this guy is not what he has been billed as. Not even close.
Aulie for Ashton was a bad deal for the Leafs? About as equal as it gets, Aulie has regressed this season and Ashton is younger with more upside. - connor
27 GP isnt really a fair assessment of a player.
Kinda like labelling Reimer a franchise goalie after 30 some odd games played last season.
O.k. Let me get this straight, according to you the Panthers are "Sluff" that does not belong in the playoffs but will sneak in due to their division being bad, and Ottawa is an incredibly well-run franchise with incredible prospects and future.
Today:
Fla: 62 games played, 30-12-12 72 pnts. 3rd place (due to SE lead)
Ott: 65 games played, 34-23-8, 76 pnts. 5th place (admittedly they have Boston in the division, but also Buffalo, Toronto, and Montreal)
Hmmmmm. 4 point difference and the Panthers have 3 games in hand on the Sens and roughly half the number of regulation losses. And the Panthers have the top ranked farm system in the league by Hockeysfuture.com with Ottawa ranked #2.
I agree with what you wrote about Ottawa, but seems as though these two franchises are in strikingly similar situations as of now.....
Things started so well, Rob Niedermayer, Jovanovski, Dvorak, all played well and stayed around for a while. Look at that drop off in 1996, ouch. Took us until 2001 and Weiss to get going again, and from 2003 (after Horton) to 2007, total crap again.
We Panther fans generally break things into 3 distinct periods (no-- not Stone, Bronze, modern). The initial years of success, the dark ages (which run right up and through Jacques Martin and Mike Keenan's tenure-- good god a 1st round pick on Olesz!), and now- the Tallon Golden revival. Things are lookin kinda different round these here parts lately....

They picked Petry a few spots ahead of Lucic that year, so they still had another shot at him.

We could've had Lucic we drafted this guy 5 spots ahead
