interesting combos. i like that hartnell-briere are together, and i like not wasting talbot on the 4th line. think he's capable of more. don't really love the 3rd line. not sure they're complimentary and it's a very young like - wouild like an older guy there, but there's not much available. only have 4 of 12 forwards from last year. would really love lappy and betts to be healthy. faceoff, shot blocking defensive bastards. they need that badly.

they need some bangers. some big bodies. someone to wear down the opposing team's D from a physical standpoint. Couturier is not going to do that. Read isn't going to do that. Rinaldo only gets to do that once a game before he gets called and then sits on the bench. Talbot does it to an extent. Schenn does as well. But that's it. I like the skill on the team and all of the players but not necessarily the total makeup of the forward corps.

I hope not, but if they don't get their act together quickly that's exactly what they'll end up being.

I agree. But Hartnell and Simmonds do it as well.

The Flyers would have to take a serious nose dive for them to become a "bubble" team. I think they will win enough games to make the playoffs without even having to worry.

Milbury is a total (insert bad word here). He is whining about the Letang hit. I thought it was clean and no way a roughing penalty.
JR was hammering Milbury the pillsbury ex gm.

What I don't like about these plays is that Nystrom changed his mind about playing the puck and decided to lay the shoulder into Letang instead. Letang didn't have control of the puck but in fact had just attempted to poke it by Nystrom. Well Nystrom wasn't going to be made to look like a fool so he lays a shoulder into a guy who doesn't even have the puck. And I don't buy that he was finishing his check either. So while Letang did alter his position by reaching out, Nystrom took advantage imo. Principal point of contact was not the head. I also don't believe there was an attempt to injure. Probably no suspension. Penalty should have been interference imo.

This incident reminds me a lot of the Steve Moore hit on Markus Naslund. Also the Doug Weight?? hit on Brandon Sutter??

Yeah anywhere in Texas, aside from maybe Big Bend National Park would probably make me feel like she looked.
