If Burke had half a brain he would of traded Reimer for a 1st.
Then used his second to acquire Harding.

Too bad Reimer "is the real deal"

How do our four other GM's not see this?

- kevvinB

I dont see any teams being willing to give up a first for reimer...

Take your lips away from the crack bowl... for a second.. but the Leafs have a few elite players..

Kessel & Lupul are the number one pairing in the league.. even the Sedin Sisters don't have have as many points after today is tallied..

Now I agree with you beyond Grabo.. Brown.. it gets a little weak...

but to say they have no elite players is foolish..

- DoctorNHL

If your really going to compare Kessel and lupul to the sedins, pass me back my pipe you've had to much. Id trade kessel lupul phaneuf and two firsts for the sedins and van would still turn it down. Kessel is an all star player and lupul has been good, but their not at that level. You can't seriously think that tor's core matches anywhere near vancouvers. Yes they are elite I never said they wern't. Also if you read what I said I didnt say no elite talent, I just referred to a lack of elite talent.

Sorry you are correct.. but in his 3rd year he had 42 points.. he also had 6 seasons under 55 points.. even as low as 8 points one.. year..

So I guess he should be perfect...

Ok so um. Wait I think I get it

Reimer is an elite player... Just having an off year.

And will bounce back to his standard elite level next year.

Mr Wingz.. I think you are missing the point the I love Stevie.. if you look at it in that light you will understand that even the greatest players have offseasons..

Just a shame we couldn't have Detroit back in our Division because it wasn't until you got out of our division than you started winning..

I appreciated your Detroit teams and enjoyed more beating you regularly.. Detroit would be the cure for a Leaf slump because they would wake up for those games...

The roster is certainly no worse than Ottawa, Florida, or Winnipeg.

Ummmm... this statement is wrong. The Sens and the Jets both have goaltenders and the Sens look to have a someday stud in Lehner coming down the pipe. Just one year ago the Senators had Leclaire and Elliot in nets and now they have 3 goalies.

The Sens, Jets and Panthers all have many better prospects than the Leafs and in the Sens case their roster is littered with gritty gamers who make them very tough to play against. Can't say that about the Leafs...

It's embarrassing that the Sens have accumulated so much organizational depth and pool of good prospects in just 1 year compared to the 7 year plan the Leafs are currently going through. I don't see any Karlsson's, Spezza's, Cowen's, Michalek's, Zibanejads, etc. in the Leafs system - how the hell is this possible? When you miss the playoffs for 7 straight years there must be some sort of potential on the horizon.

I think that it's safe to say that Brian Burke and his plans are more blustery hot air than anything else. It's time to "Fire Wilson" and put Burke on watch...
