I know exactly what the Sabres have in terms of cap money.

Anyone that doesnt understand that I am simply rounding numbers off needs to take a pill.

I dont need your link but thanks.

- TerryPegs

what did you round... we have 6.6 mil in space if the cap doesn't move next season.. Myers hit is already factored into that.

Again, Check cap geek for a more accurate idea

see bottom line where it says PROJECTED CAP SPACE which includes TM's new salary and excludes Hecht & Boyes.

We may have to crouch, but we won't be hitting our heads.

Do you have a problem reading?

I have said mine are ballpark figures.

Whether it be 2 mill or 4 mill space we will have my point is we will not have enough cap space to entice any high end restricted free agents or unrestricted for that matter.

We need to shed more roster players for picks or low level prospects. This has to be done!

Do you think you are telling me something with capgeek that I dont already know?

I rounded the cap space that may be left.

Doesnt take a genius to figure that out but maybe I am wrong.

2 mill or 4 mill under,it wont be enough to sign any free agents worth signing smart ass.

Roster talent will need to be shed to acquire any high end free agent.

No, we wont, but you think what you want.

I did all the math already.

We will not have 6.6.

A 50% round up is kinda rich.

And yes, we can do pretty well with a $4M guy. We are not restricted to FA's; there are other avenues.
We just snagged up a pretty solid center for less than $2M
Last thing I want is an overpaid #1 center. Gimme 3 or 4- #2's any day.

Don't we all want to shed more ppl from this roster?
Roy & stafford come to mind- that's 8mil
And there's guys like Leopold & possibly Sekera who are replaceable IMO with McNabb, and Brennan & Schiestel also about ready to come up, etc

I don't worry to much about the cap right now bc so much can, and I think WILL, change... Incl it going up a few mil
It's more interesting to me to talk about guys we wanna get and how we're gonna get them, than the salary cap particulars...
Bc as teams like Philly & NYR show every year, moves can be made to get u under the cap so that u can still go grab the guy(s) u want...

I was thinking Parise like many of us here I am sure are.

Parise will take 7-9 mill per to sign.

We will have to purge roster talent ie: roster cap monies to acquire a player like Parise.

Well, either everyone is misreading your post or you don't, TP.

The $6,687,144 in projected cap space includes Myer's raise, which you suggested would eat up $4m or so.

Myers new contract kicks in and sucks up 4 mill of that 6 mill.

You are wrong , I laid this out in earlier pages for everyone.

The difference between Miller and Pominville and Kaleta is that Miller will be absolutely brutally honest when he gives an interview.

Pominville sounded like a pretty cut and dry typical response that you guys are looking out of Miller. You guys complain when they give those interviews, yet when Miller shows his true emotions you guys blow up at him over it?

C'mon its obvious hes upset to see Gaustad go, but he understands at the same time.

- theblueandgold

i can understand him being upset, lord i hate goose is gone he was my fav after campbell, but it is part of the game ,let him be sad if friend is gone , heck i already got my preds gaustad jersey .
