I'm hearing it may go down with new CBA
- Powerslave

I read somewhere that the players want $68M and the owners want $60M.

No I'm saying you can do this. You can cut cap costs that way then either flip the bounty or add it to what you already have and take a run at Galchenyuk or Stastny or insert desired center here.

Getting Hodgson and getting a 1st for Goose opened a ton of option for the Sabres.

lets see what they with those options.

^ More than agree on this... Something told me yesterday there would be some sort of splash, and while watching Tradecentre yesterday and they said we have one potential big trade to announce here I had this feeling we were involved. Then McKenzie said "Zach Kassian to Vancouver, not sure the return I'm working on it" My mind immediately went to Hodgson and I was ecstatic.

The point of that story was to say I have a gut feeling we won't be picking twice in the first round come draft time... One of those picks should/could get moved IMO

Right.

Hense me seeing him as maybe part of the problem there.

You keep that to yourself and in the organization.

He just lowered what they can get for him now. See Heatley

I really don't think he'll be there once the draft comes along. If anything they should bring in a new GM. Maybe if they do that and can make a few good moves, Nash won't want out so bad. Or, maybe that new GM will be able to flip things and still get what is a fair deal for Nash.

Kind of how Ellis would be moved?

That's a fact. I read it on a Lithuanian website. They always have it first

I just think if Rick Nash ever had any semblance of a team around him he's flourish... Who have his Centers been throughout his career? Not very helpful for him IMO... If you gave him a great Center I think he would average 40+ goals a season.

Thought it was a flat 50 mil but could be wrong.

Either way the CBA needs some tweeks cause the cost of players is getting out of hand again.

Losing Roy ,Staff will make room. Thats kinda the plan

- cabin

You cant afford to lose another big winger in Stafford.

How small do you want this team?

Anyone stick out on that list as a guy that can really support a great sniping PF like Nash? Heck I think I'd take Roy over anyone on that list *hides*

Cassells had a good season there if memory serves me but I think it was Nash's rookie year.

Sorry meant to put an "or" in there.

Thing is with what we have to deal with , lots can happen on draft day . seems this isn't the same sabres mgnt we have been used too. I'm hoping for the best and most outrageous movements imaginable

2 of the 5 and I said more than once Goose was going to land a 1st.

You had 15 players on your list of potential movers.

envy and the mis-informed, the usual

BTW, might we assume that future front-loaded deals will go away in the next CBA?

You are one angry person.

I'd bet you pre rage.
