Does this team have a chance at surpassing the 112 point make they got during the '94 season?
I think they can get somewhere around that total, 26 out of a possible 41 points is definitely possible.
Also wondering who will be the four call-ups for the postseason; I haven't really been following the Whale this season. |

I think something like 13-7-1 is certainly doable in last 21
And we will all freak out over every one of those 7 losses |

they haven't lost 7 games in a 21 game stretch all season, thats half of their total regulation losses all season, if that doesn't put this season in perspective I don't know what does....wow!!! |

and by the way, anyone catch the battle between Roenick and Milbury on NBCN last night? Good stuff, I thought they were going to throw hands on the air! |

Erixon is one for sure...Zuc maybe? Newberry? Does Kreider count as a call up? Probably not b/c he wasnt and won't be on the Whale's roster. 3rd goaltender? I am admittedly unsure of all of the rules as it pertains to post-season rosters and injuries that occur during thepost season etc... |

yeah, it's a bit confusing, good call though about definitely leaving one callup available for an emergency goalie.

Just for insurance, look at what happened to Biron last year, you just never know... |

If one of our goalies goes down it better be Biron. |

You know what is crazy, the Rangers don't have more than 2 days off all month.
Get ready for a heavy dose of Biron this month. - TPC
Lately, that isn't really a good thing.
Ask me this, earlier in the season, I am completely comfortable with Biron getting his share of the starts. But lately, he has been average at best, although his overall frame of work has to be complimented still.
The Rangers have a few games against the weaker sisters of the conference; Biron should start in the majority of those games.

Would rather see Bourque get a game in than Newbury. Now that I think about it, these are the likely call-ups:
Chad Johnson
Tim Erixon
Mats Zuccarello
Andre Deveaux
Tortorella likes toughness and unless any signficant injuries occur to some of the team's better forwards, I don't see any surprises coming from Connecticut.

The only one I really want to see on the ice is Erixon, and this month is about management for me, its really the dog days and about survival, the 7 game homestand is big though, 5 of next 6 on the road then the Garden Party... |
