I could've sworn I heard them call his name last night?

Is he going to play over Bickel?

I think it's possible they'll be a game or two when both Scott and Bickel play, Bickel will play forward and a forward will be given the night off, especially if it's a game where lots of fisticuffs can be expected.

Like a game against those bastards in Philly April 3rd

Word on Scott is that he is a good teammate, which means he should fit in for the stretch run.

Heard that too, just really wondering what are forward depth will be when inevitably one of the regular 12 can't go for a game or 2 or more in the playoffs. Zuccs, Bickel up front, not that comforting. Of course hopefully Mr. Kreider signs & is a part of our team come April.

Injuries happen but come playoff time players play through a myriad of "upper" and "lower body injuries".

Hopefully the Rangers don't have to rely on too many reinforcements form their minor league team. But if they have to, Zuccarello and Bourque will probably get looks.

Kreider too, didn't forget about him. Hopefully none of the Rangers key forwards miss any significant time in the postseason.

Of course, I think this team is so close & has come from so far with their commitment to each other since September, they might have to be carried off on a stretcher to keep them from playing in the post season.

Kreider's 14 playoff goals will make you lose all concerns you have over the depth

The rulebook, "63.5", states, "No defending player, except the goalkeeper, will be permitted to fall on the puck, hold the puck, pick up the puck, or gather the puck into the body or hands when the puck is within the goal crease. For infringement of this rule, play shall immediately be stopped and a penalty shot shall be ordered against the offending team, but no other penalty shall be given. The rule shall be interpreted so that a penalty shot will be awarded only when the puck is in the crease at the instant the offense occurs. However, in cases where the puck is outside the crease, Rule 63 may still apply and a minor penalty may be imposed, even though no penalty shot is awarded."

According to Kerry Fraser the correct call should have been penalty shot last night when Volchenkov did his best snow angel in the crease, I can't believe how many blatant game changing calls we've been on the short end of.

I seem to remember a similar play happening against Girardi in one game? Maybe the winter classic?

---

Too much fighting on this blog from Ranger fans... After a loss, maybe I can see it (Bones, Vin) but after a win? (Aldo, MM)

Oh well, love all you fruits almsot equally...

Lotta Jersey trolls too huh? Oh well -- not the most exciting last game, but I could see where the "playoff atmosphere" like game comes in...

Jimbo talking about how we haven't won a lot of Presidents Trophys, and have only 2...

Well our 2 presidents trophys tie us for 2nd with a few other teams... All teams have won either 1 or 2 presidents trophys since 1985-86, however Detroit has won 6...

Ah I knew you'd be surprised!

Btw when did you start being positive about the team?? What brought about this change of heart? I recall a smart a** answer when I brought up the same thing a few weeks ago... interesting

It must have been right after a loss or something, in general I have been optimistic all season.

Honestly I'm going to take credit for your change. You were headed to MM, Cranny territory with an obsession of having to be negative about something. I see you are enjoying the team now... thanks to me

All this revisionist history is killing me

Gotta give cranny some credit, he complains about the calls and other teams alot, but not the Rangers play so much.
