How's his year going, do you know? - GioRock
From what I have been hearing on the blog he is skating around these minor league players like cones...definite insertion for next season... |

Lately, that isn't really a good thing.
Ask me this, earlier in the season, I am completely comfortable with Biron getting his share of the starts. But lately, he has been average at best, although his overall frame of work has to be complimented still.
The Rangers have a few games against the weaker sisters of the conference; Biron should start in the majority of those games. - MidnightMarauder
Yea Biron has been giving up some weak goals. But you still hav to play him. The Rangers have done a good job building a lead. Now let Hank get a few games off here in this month so once April comes around he is ready to rock for a long playoff run. Even though the President's trophy would be cool, I could really care less. If Biron plays and losses a few so what. As long as Hank is rested come mid April is all that matters. |

I think I have read, froma few outlets, that he is having a solid season down there.
He looks like a really good skater and puck mover; he just has to get adjusted to the physical play and the speed of the NHL.
Erixon is almost a lock for a regular roster spot next season.
I can see Del Zotto moved to the right side, perhaps to play with Staal and Erixon as the third pair left defenseman, to play alongside perhaps Bickel or if Sauer is ready to return.

If he turns out to be the worker his dad was but with more skill he is going to be another gem for us on the blueline...you can never have too many goo defensemen... |

Most underrated Ranger of that era, IMO. |

I don't want Hank tired heading into the playoffs either. But Biron has to show that he can be relied upon to start 5-7 of the last 21 games remaining.
Can't keep throwing Biron out there if he continues to look how he has looked his last five starts.
He is probably the second most important player on the team, heading down the stretch.
A lot will be determined based upon how good or bad Biron looks.
I would like to see a President's Trophy this season, to be honest. It would be a great accomplishment and shouldn't be a determining factor on their success, or lack thereof, in the postseason.

He was great and seemed to score such clutch goals too, I rememebr the Philly series in 86, he was everywhere!!!! What a run that was...taking down both I-95 teams and in drmatic fashion, of course losing to Claude Lemieux still chaps me to this day... |

All of what you say is truen but Hank's season has been his best thus far and how much do we want to attribute to Biron being able to play so much? I think Torts will just stay the course and while we would like the President's Trophy and the top seed, I am not so sure Torts cares where they are seeded as long as they have home ice for at least round one...the road doesn't scare these guys anyway, the way they play is conducive to winning on the road in the playoffs anyhow... |

We got even with that idiot. |

How about the Blues, I am not sure there has been a quieter 40 games won to this point in a season than that group...nobody seems to be talking about them... |

Without moving Dubinsky, in the off-season, and even with likely departures from Fedotenko and Mitchell; Parise doesn't seem to make much sense coming here.
If Dubinsky is moved for a draft pick or something like that, then Parise coming here will almost definitely happen.
But, and assuming Kreider is here next season, the lines don't make much sense with both Parise and Dubinsky as Rangers next season.

I think he would, to have a chance to win year in and year out, why wouldn't he want to come here although there will be plenty of suitors going forward...it all depends on how badly the Rangers think they need him...his style would fit right in |

In my honest opinion, I don't think he would.
I think he stays in Jersey or goes back home to Minnesota. Plus, despite his status as one of the better wingers in the league, the addition of Kreider and a potential bounce back season from Dubinsky, are probably something the team is counting on; moreso than another free agent acquisition.

I don't think we need to sign anymore big ticket UFA's. Maybe just a mid-level one. Like you said, our youngins will be a year older and Kreider will be here. |

last thing I feel like talking about is what this team does after this season, but I tend to agree, I don't see us targeting a 7 million player this off season. |

Then let's talk Carolina, this is the first game the Staal brothers are in the same game since concussion isn't it? Maybe we should sit Marc for this one. (j/k) |
