Capuano says Nabokov starts and there will be some line changes.

Nielsen will center Ullstrom and Bailey, Cizikas will center Grabner and Okposo. Martin will be with Reasoner and Pandolfo. #Isles

Looks like Nino is the healthy scratch............here we go in 3,2,1........

ahahahaa best thing for nino is to go to bport as soon as portland is out
- NYI78

That age thing seems to be getting in his way. They should just keep giving him five mins a game and play him with Reasoner. Maybe have him sit a few games. That will work

You are probably right. I'd like to think that as well but as far as I'm concerned I think Snow sucks as a GM, thats my personal opinion. The first part of your post says it all. "you're guessing. Just like everyone else." Just like you as far as the second and third rounder are concerned.
- Cptmjl

I think a lot of people, including myself, agree that Snow has not done a good job with reslect to trades and UFA signings. I just look at what other trades were made and based on that, I don't think PAP or Nabby were binging back more than a second or third.

I agree. he is way in over his head in the NHL. I'm tired of hearing who he is playing with as an excuse. Forget about numbers he just doesn't look ready for the NHL. He should spend all of next year down in BP.

I'm actually really happy with those lines. I think Nino should probably be in over Pandolfo but the fourth line isn't a particularly huge concern of mine.

The window to send Nino back to Portland closed yesterday. I don't know what the rule is as far as the Bridgeport playoffs.

Frankly, Nino hasn't done anything lately in my eyes to earn that spot. Keep in mind that doesn't mean I think Pando is a superstar, nor am I speculating on who's fault it is that Nino's play stinks as of late. Simply pointing out that Nino's game hasn't been good enough for me to make a stink that he's not in the lineup.

Like I said I have no idea regarding that, but is it possible to go on an ATO if you're already under another contract? An ATO is a contract, isn't it?

I hear you. I've just seen this show before. The kid was never given a chance IMO. Playing with who he has played with and the ice time he got I honestly think you'd be expecting miracles from the kid to produce.

Allow me to add my 2 cents into this tit for tat exchange. Seems like a few here could use the time to dress your wounds.

1st rounders! 2nd or 3rd rd picks? Prospects? Players? For Nabby or PAP?

Getting to much, Getting to little.

Snow is a great GM?

Snow is a terrible GM?

Isles fans are impatient?

Isles fans are insecure?

Isles fans expect to much?

WOW

One moment here. Isles fans are forever MISLEAD. Plain and simple. They are mislead by Wang and Snow from yr to yr. No sense stating the obvious. We all know what's been handed to us each and every yr. You know all the BS. The PO promises. We'll spend to improve etc etc...

As for this yrs Trade Deadline. Again we were mislead. We were mislead by Bloggers, Reporters and the Islanders.

Bloggers and Reporters for creating the market and having us believe that teams were desperate for Goaltending help and a top 6 forward.

Reports that Toronto desperately needed a goalie if they were to make a run at the 8th spot. That Philadephia had had it with their Russian tandem and was in the market for a change . That Chicago was in the hunt for an experienced Goalie. That LA needs more offensive punch. Toronto is looking for a top 6 forward. Its a sellers market on goalies. And so on.

Nabbys name has been out on the trade market since Sept. Placed out there by our own organization. They showcased him. They played him when he was struggling. All in an effort to TRADE HIM. It was reported that earlier in the season Snows asking price was a 2nd rd pick. But When Nabby does exactly what management had hoped he'd do. Play well to raise his value. Snow tells the world that he's off the market!!!!!!!!!!! Isles are in effect offering a contract to Nabby and his agent! A contract that came to late. A contract that hasnt been signed. Mixed messages to us. To the GM's of the NHL and to low and behold, Nabby himself. The circus continues!

And Whats with PAP?

PAP is being shopped. PAP isnt being shopped. PAP wants to be here. PAP wont negotiate. PAP will Negotiate. Snow isnt shopping PAP. Snow is Shopping PAP.

And then there was the constant KO Rumors.

Again, Its reported from various sources that, Boston wants KO. LA wants KO. Edmonton wants KO.
What do we hear from the Islanders. KO is untouchable. They wont even listen to see whats being offered.

And finally. The bait. The Bait that catches the Islander fan and makes him really look foolish. Schenn is available. Brown is on the market. Isles have a shot at Ryan. Isles sending KO to Boston. Defencemen Jack Johnson is headed to LI. On and on it goes. The fan has been hooked. If 99% of the reports are false. Then one of them has got to be true. Then the let down.

After all this. Its the Fans who are insecure?????????????????? Any wonder

This is just another day in the life of the Islander organization that we have affectionately come to know as Circus Maximus!

After toying with our emotions. Spreading rumors and maybe even out right lies. How can any fan be blamed for being a bit insecure when it comes to the Islanders.

So the trade deadline has come to an end. And we the fans have learned our lesson. Again. Next time we will know better. Next time.

That is, until June when we all get hooked again. When we are all at each others throats.

Wasn't given a fair shake if you ask me. Have a feeling this will wind up being a waste of a first rounder. Playing with who he played with and for the mins he played is not giving the kid a "chance"

Who cares about the shot he was given this year. He got a taste of life in the NHL for a little bit. He's still so young that it's not going to be a big deal. As long as he starts in BP next year and earns his way into the line up, no harm, no foul.
