Hey, jac**ss, calm down. re-read my stuff. Learn reading comprehension. I never made any offer. I said MAYBE PAP and Nabby MIGHT have brought back a second or third if they were moved. You and the other guy keep saying that they both undoubtedly would have brought back first rounders and neither of you have anything to base it on. - Jethro09

Nobody is saying he's doing a good job. But some of us are questioning whether it makes sense to mail off two guys who are playing real well for the team, who the team wants back, has the money to bring back, and the players have said they want to come back to, just for the sake of moving them because they are UFAs. just like I told the other guy, nobody, including you, know if 1st rounders were offeres for PAP or Nabby. Based on the other 20+moves that were made, where only one desperate team moved a first rounder for a player they overpaid heavily for, its likely (again, none of us KNOW for sure) that #1 picks were being thrown around like frisbees yesterday. - Jethro09
Yeah, we don't. Correct. But how do you know there weren'y. You stating that there were seconds offered for PA and nothing more than a third offered for Nabakov is just as questionable? |

I actually never said that. I said Gaustad brought back a first so whose to say PA or Nabakov wouldn't? You? |

But taking what most beieve(myself included) a even bigger risk of losing him for nothing is justified? You saying that PA is less selfish than Blake is funny. Why did you come to this conclusion. This guy is setting himself up for quite a big contract in July that many won't believe is prob warranted. I think it was a mistake not to trade him, I can see your point even though I don't agree with it in any way but for you to insinuate that some fans are whiners due to Snow sitting on his hands is funny. You are assuming alot as far as what we were offered for them as well unless you know more than we all know? If you do enlighten us all to these offers of second and third rounders for PA and Nabakov. - Cptmjl
my idea of a selfish player is...skate down the right side 1 on 4 while my team is changing and fire a shot on net that gets blocked...thats what jason blake was...what i'm trying to say is we need realistic expectations...we don't know what he was offered but it was not enough...so i'm ok with that..especially when snow wants to keep these players..i can't take this team seriously as a playoff team until the blueline is adressed, and that wasn't getting fixed yesterday...THATS my point |

Gotcha. Thought you were referring to him being "not selfish" in the sense that he's going to turn down 5 million a year from Toronto in July |

so??
at the end of the day, youre making assumptions, right?
bottomline, you dont know if a 2nd, 3rd, 1st, crosby, my grandmothers piss or goldie locks was offered. its all assumptions.
dont knock the guy for thinking a 1st might have been available (granted, based on nothing) and than you come along and think the deal was a 2nd or 3rd (based on nothing). if youre gonna knock the guy for making a pulling-it-out-of-your-ass offer than you sure as poop shouldnt make one either.... - LetsGoIsles

If Paul Gaustad brought back a first rounder, PAP certainly would have. - isles10289
You're guessing. Just like everyone else. One team overpaid drastically for one guy and a fourth rounder and you assume that one of 28 other teams was desperate to throw the Isles a first for PAP, when not one other team moved a first rounder for a forward at the deadline. I don't think Snow was offered a first for PAP. if he was, I believe Snow would have moved him. |

OK, I don't think it was far fetched to assume that when your previous posts were all about your confidence that PA would resign with us in July. |

You are probably right. I'd like to think that as well but as far as I'm concerned I think Snow sucks as a GM, thats my personal opinion. The first part of your post says it all. "you're guessing. Just like everyone else." Just like you as far as the second and third rounder are concerned. |

what two first rounders are you referring to? Because neither PAP or Nabby were bringing back a first rounder. There is absolutely no rumor that a first was even offered for either guy. PAP was maybe bringing back a second, Nabby possibly a third. There is no reason to believe that either guy was bringing back a first. - Jethro09
Well some people thought pa and nabby would go for schenn kadri and a 1 st rounder... Jethro your on the money these 2 guys were not getting us anything but 2 or 3 round picks

Thanks for not relating it to some "Stock A and B" or "How to Purchase a Lottery Ticket" scenario. Real proud of ya. Keep up the good work. - eichiefs9
hahahaha....wasnt knocking your quote...more knocking the tweet. its a worthless comment- in terms of monetary value, not informative value.
i think the funniest part of me trying to dumb things down for some of these guys/boys is that despite the simplicity and elementariness of these analogies, i still cant get through....i cant blame anyone but myself. im trying to figure out a good analogy involving shapes and wooden blocks....hmmmm? |

Capuano says Nabokov starts and there will be some line changes.
Nielsen will center Ullstrom and Bailey, Cizikas will center Grabner and Okposo. Martin will be with Reasoner and Pandolfo. #Isles
Looks like Nino is the healthy scratch............here we go in 3,2,1........ |
