Yea! Turns out my Muslim neighbor who owns a Greek Diner. (not making this up)
Goes out and buys live goats every once in awhile. Maybe he substitutes goat for the lamb in the gyro. Goat is much cheaper.
Buying live goats for food is big down here. The Mexicans go to the farms and buy em for weekend celebrations.
Personally I'd rather have venison. Only had goat once and wasnt impressed.
Maybe it was prepared wrong? I dont know - SCLI
Id rather have Venison to goat, but Ill take Veal or Mutton over both

It was -14 here this morning, we received another about 10 inches of Snow last night, No wonder I can't stand Garth.. - bixll
We've had 0 inches of snow this winter. Temps were in the low 70's just a couple of days ago. Today is rainy and in the 50's. Not a typical winter. Even for this area.
I have to pick my daughter up from College on Friday. Winter break.
So I'm glad I dont have to deal with any snow while I drive thru the mountains.
I'll ask her to teach me how to forward photos from the computer. Hopefully I'll be able to send you some next week. See how us Southern Yankees live.

The players you mentioned are prospects and some may never see the NHL let alone come to this country, far from sure things - Cptmjl
I gave him an "F" with a... let's see if any of these prospects turn out. He has maintained a steady "F" for 5 years. I am hoping it becomes an A+ in a couple of year. Not saying it will.. just hopeful.
Positives - decent young core, decent to above average group of prospects on the bridge, in college and in the system. tons of cap space... TONS.
Negatives - we still suk. |

I sent a couple of other of when the bear was in the camp, destroying it.
She was 460 lbs and had destroyed 6 camps in a 10 mile area before they shot her.. |

Only had Goats milk as a kid, milk alergy growing up. However, I grew up eating deer meat, and it does make a differnece how it is prepared.
You guys only have little ones down there, they must be tasty. They get pretty big up here, and the males are not great to eat after they are deep into the rut, all the fat is gone... - bixll
When we lived in NC my kids had the same problem. We lived on a hill over looking a valley that was actually a Mennonite Community. They had plenty of goats. We used to send the kids down with containers and jars and they would milk the goats. Fresh and warm from the mothers utters. Fresh Goats milk is really good. Once you chill it that is. That stuff you get in cans and containers at the supermarket is just awful though.
Ya the deer are small in this area. Some look smaller than my Lab. Unfortunately I havent tasted any local deer yet. Actually havent had any since I left LI. |

Really? I'm surprised. Veal doesnt surprise me. Mild and tender, Takes on the flavor of its accompaniments. But Mutton? Gamey and tough. Yuck!
Unless of course, you have a secret way to prepare it that I am unaware of. Maybe long and slow. A stew perhaps? |

There are some really good Greek mutton recipes, I could eat a leg of lamb ( love to debone it, then stuff it with Feta & Spinach.. throw it on the rotisserie for few hours...MAGIC) Lamb chops, lamb Shanks (cook them in a homemade tomato sauce) Mutton stew... i could go on & on!!

come on though seriously when you first heard the announcement he became the GM what did you think? I remember turning to my ex wife and saying that is it this is rock bottom and this team is going to suck for years. So far I have been right and that does not happen often - kasperrko
Thought it was a joke, then thought we were screwed. |

Dee, I guess you think they suck too... - kear20
the players themselves don't suck.
HOW they're playing does.
There is talent on this team. But it doesn't seem to be finding the way to win on a consistent basis.
depressed.
Okay, much later an entry for tomorrow's (OMG NO!) Game and how misery loves company. I'm going to make an appearance at the viewing party.

Kyle okposo looks drunk out there. I really think having an actual coach this year would have found them in the playoffs.
As I said before, top line excluded, every forward has taken a step backward big time. Matt Martin maybe stayed the same. He hasn't shown any growth. |
