Long post, well written and thought out but I respectfully disagree with alot in it. Saying, "he needs to hire an experienced coach" is elementary in my opinion. A ten yr old could have figured that out by now, not insulting you but rather Snow. How many more inexperienced gys do we need to hire? Taking on an AHL coach with limited AHL eperience and a losing record is moronic and careless. Saying he didnt need to do anything bcs the team just wasn't ready I can't agree with at all. You are going to hire some retread to coach your great prospects and hope for the best? No, sorry. Not what I want my team doing. Besides weren't we supposed to be making th playoffs this year? This team has the same problems it had when he took over. Yeah, we have more prospects but calling any of them blue chip is reaching. Saying Snow is doing a good job bcs he drafted in the top five three yrs in a row to me is moronic.
Sitting on your hands and doing nothing besides drafting kids is not a monumental task. A ten yr old can throw darts at a board and hope for the best. Saying he did a good job getting rid of Rolstons and Hunters contract is absurd. He is the one who created those contracts in the first place!!!! Rolston had negative effect on this team for the entire season yet he was put on the PP and was GIVEN important minutes. Snow took on Reasoner, Mottau, Pandalfo, Rolston. Everyone one of these players besides Reasoner was washed up. We all knew and the league did as well. We had to reach the floor? I can hear it now. There are better ways than taking on garbage and going into a season almost knowingly to fail. Saying the "team wasn't ready" is moronic.
Sick of hearing Snow can't get FA's. Guess what thats his job, If he can't than get a GM who can. I see your points even though I don't agree with them but to think this guy is doing a good or even decent job to me is crazy. At work all I have time for now!

So in plain English Snow sucks? I think we all agree. I could care less about the farm system as most of those guys dont pan out to be when they were drafted. It is a crap shoot. So I can give him credit picking guys in a draft pool. Hey I can do that

Exactly and we don't all agree which is why I wrote this in the first place. Snow has done nothing to warrant my respect as a fan. Its fine, we all have different opinions. I'm from the same mold you are on this. I am counting the days until we have a new GM and owner. Pipe dream maybe but I can hope. The guy constantly has excuses made for him and Wanger by the fan base which is nice to see the loyalty but to me a bit naieve. Yeah, he got Molson, Paranteu. Great! You throw enough shat at a wall something is gonna stick. He has done nothing as far as I'm concerned and I'm sick of the no problem with failing attitude are fan base has become accustomed with.

Complete garbage.......just once I wish the Isles website would let us write in and say our piece to Garth and Wang. Let the fans know they can vent and that both would sit there and hear our words....The fact they can continue to run this franchise into the ground and do nothing to support the players like Nabby, JT and Harmonic makes me so angry. If I could just have my minute to say it directly to them...not to the rest of you...just them. We all bring our opinion, good or bad, and because we are so tired of year after year being left to feel like we did last night makes me crazy. and you guessed it we will all be here hoping dreaming wishing for a winning season..we are loyal to this team, the colors and the logo...why can't Garth and Wang show alittle of that too....or at least let me say what I feel I need to to them both...friggin clowns!!!

So Snow is signing four UFA's. Two of which are top four defenseman and two top six fowards?
- Cptmjl

i'm not saying any of this is going to happen but in my mind this is their depth chart..they are in dire need of a real second line

Absolutely agree with you. They do need all of which you mentioned. Snow ill not get it but this team needs it to even be slightly competitive.

Pal, Buddy, can I call you Friend?

Lets get away from the computer for awhile. We'll sit down and enjoy a couple of Drafts together while I explain why you never use the Word "Rational" when referring to Islander Management.

Also what is with the 3 shots on goal in the first period?? This seems to be happening every game where the guys are sleep walking on the ice. Something is wrong there. I do not see any other NHL team play like that game in and game out. Our coach sits there says nothing and always thinks they played a great game. For the first time in his life he changed up the lines which was a huge step for little Jackie. I am sick of seeing this game in and game out. I know the outcome already for next year how the year will play out and so does every one else. Once Wang gets his arena and real estate things will be better but until then same story next year and the same complaints.

He had to. Rolston was gone.

BTW did you see the interview with Rolston after yesterdays Bruin Sens game?
Rolston basically said it was fun to play with the Bruins and he didnt play all that well because he hasnt been on the ice for awhile.
He seems to have the excuses ready to roll.
All he needs is more time on the ice and his game will improve.

My take on Snow: credit must be given where credit is due. The guy has drafted fairly well, restocking a system that was embarassingly weak because of Milbury. Snow has also done a great job identifying guys like PAP and MM and has found value in castoffs.

His shortcomings: "his" teams, teams he built, not one he inherited from Niel Smith, haven't finished out of the league's bottom five yet. his track record with respect to signing free agents is horrid. Outside of MM, PAP and Streit and Roloson, Snow hasn't signed one solid UFA since he took the job. He also has failed miserably at making any trades for impact players. His scouring of the bargain bin every summer isn't getting it done. He also has failed in bringing a legit coach in during his tenure. Nolan was Wang's hire.

Snow deserves credit for some good things, but he also deseeves criticism for failures. He must improve on selling LI to UFA's and grow a pair and make an impact trade or else the team will never improve.

Rolston another clown who plays in the NHL. More ice time? Why would anyone give him more ice time? He is slow as molasses his shot goes all over the place never on goal and does nothing. Boston can have him and I would love to see what he has to give to a Stanley Cup Champion team. Just space that is all. He was one of Snows friends that went horribly wrong
