With the right pieces added I would have liked to think we stood a chance at repeating, I'm not so certain now, with a healthy line up possibly but there is no knowing when/if Horton comes back and Peverly won't be back up to speed when he does come back close to the play offs. In short I'm not holding my breath on a repeat and if we don't pick it up we'll be gone in the first round.

I think Nash wasnt being moved without a high quality established goaltender coming back in that deal.

I think I remember everyone saying the Sabres were the winners on July 1st. Hows that working out. We needed tuffness and to get it we gave up some skill. Time will tell.

Nah man, you misunderstood me. I'm not a Regier fan. He has such unreal expectations of what he will get in a deal, that most of the GM's in this league can't deal with him. Burke actually said it openly once.

Understandably Canucks fan are a little upset. I on the other hand think this kid has tremendous upside.

Cody Hodgson is a CENTERMAN people. Have already have two number 1 centers on this team. This move was made to add snarl, And I for one think its a good trade for both teams.

Agreed. Tough to lose Hodgson, but Centre is the one place we have an abundance of depth. Pahlsson fills the need for a true 3rd line centre. Kassian and Gragnani may help now, but are big picture players.

Everyone in Van started at noon, as soon as their golden boy was traded. Myself, I like the move as it helps address current needs. Sad to see Cody leave but he wasn't going to crack the top 6 anyways.

My winners: The Rangers. I hate the Rangers with passion being a Florida fan. But I was so worried I was going to check my twitter and see Rick Nash heading to NY for Callahan, Kreiger, Del Zotto, a 1st, and a conditional. What a RIDICULOUS asking price for a player very equal, stat wise, to Tomas Vanek. Sather did it right today. Nashville did well, but the 1st rd pick for Gaustad was a little much.

I wouldnt part with mcdonagh or del zotto in the deal.
