Understandably Canucks fan are a little upset. I on the other hand think this kid has tremendous upside.
Cody Hodgson is a CENTERMAN people. Have already have two number 1 centers on this team. This move was made to add snarl, And I for one think its a good trade for both teams.

Yeah, no one's buying that sh*t... |

Calgary qualifies as losers - by neither buying nor selling they don't move ANY direction one way or another and are likely to lose a few guys that had value today for nothing, while simultaenously missing the playoffs again |

their big move was Cammalleri wasn't it? they will clean house of all UFA's in the summer and re-boot with more signings |

Ah yes, also known as last summer's plan with Richards. That worked out well
Cammy trade was and remains a good move but it still didn't and won't make them a playoff team, too many other issues. |

Agreed. All the way to the finals here they come, i projected LA to make the finals from beginning of season when they acquired richards. Then later after your playoff run, please send bernier our way. Please and thanks - Mapleleafs_91
We just need to sign Quick long term and Bernier is all yours. |

1st round pick for Guastad
COHO for Kassian
Now I know why Darcy Regier never makes any trades. He lives on a different planet than the rest of us, and not too many GM's come to visit him there. |

Yeah the summer is a more reasonable time for the Flames to make moves. I don't mind standing pat for now. Whatever happens this season happens.
If it's the same story after the draft and July 1, then I will be really upset!!! |

I just hope they don't pay Jokinen too much money (will inevitably go back to his old self next year) and/or put all their eggs in one free agent basket. |

at least Feaster is trying. Effin Sutter set that team back years and then bailed like a pu$$y |

do you guys think aulie can be a top 4 dman for us in tampa?
right now our defense is
brewer, hedman(hurt idk for how long)
lee, aulie
mikkelson, commodore
gervais, clark
MAB (hurt)
clark and gervais will be gone next year so i hope we can bring in someone like stuart to fill out our top 4. but we are def monsters on the back end now in the way of size.
brewer 6'3
hedman 6'6
aulie 6'6
mikkelson 6'2
lee 6'3
commodore 6'4
all 200+ pounds too
clark and gervais are both 6'0 but they suck so they dont count and will be gone next yr anyway.

He didn't bail, he resigned because he was asked to (ie. he got fired). More than he deserved.
The thing with Feaster is, it's still not entirely clear what his actual vision is. |

I remember when Holland got "fleeced" by Philly when they got Leino and when Holland looked like an idiot for moving "Matthias"...
probably wise to give it more time than a week to talk about winning trades... I will probably still grab Downie if he is available in any hockey pools though.
the real winner will be the team that wins the cup a) this year and b) has continued success as a top team for years to come. If that view is too "wide range" for you... than we are watching this sport in difference realities... - BooBoo997
We are looking at it from different perspectives.. Yes the Avs want to win now but more for experience. No one expects them to make a push for the finals.
Your guys players are aging and your time is now. So I get it.. But the Avs are in the last 1-3 years of a rebuild depending on how things pan out and who is available in the UFA market.
We traded inconsistent players (besides Winnik) for guys who have shown they not only have potential but are consistent in their roles. It's just my opinion that we won the trades based on what we sent packing and what we got. |

Not sure who's going to win the Aulie trade but it pisses me off that Toronto converted our 4th rounder into a first round forward from last year. Thanks Darryl! |

you never know, most of the panel experts today spewed on about how long it takes bigger guys like Aulie to develop into a solid NHL Dman. It's all a gamble, nobody knows the kid is so young |

carter ashton is the next ryan malone. big power forward will be in the 40/50/60 point range in NHL if he stays healthy. thats the one guy i really didnt want to give up. he was top 5 in our prospect pool |

yea i know. but if the bolts somehow tank it this year (which i dont think we will yzerman looks like hes pushing for a playoff spot making our d much harder to play against today) and we get dumba at 3. then we could have hedman and aulie both at 6'6 and dumba a strong physical hitter in there too we could get better really fast. i wouldnt mind seeing yzerman trade a one of our 2nds and our 1st from detroit to move up if we end up making the playoffs. |
