I explained it in one my posts.
Hecht and Boyes money 7.6 mill comes off the books next season.
There will be other roster players salaries coming off the books that will either be traded for prospects or picks at the draft before July 1st to make more room yet for Parise.
The only 2 restricted free agents that need to be signed in the off season, and will be resigned are P.Kaleta @ 1 - 1.5 mill at the most per year and T.Ennis which will only be 2 - 3mill per at the most.
Make no mistake there will be room for Parise or a S.Koivu , a M.Hejduk, a R.O'Reilly, a C.Wilson , a S.Doan, a M.Knuble (Semin would never fit here , we as a fan base would probably boo him right out of town) or finally an E.Kane. |

Myers's increase takes the majority of that. Sabres would have under 3million in cap space if Ennis (2.5) and kaleta (1.25) were re-singed to those prices. (i went in between your estimates). That is the every day roster with ellis and tropp, doesn't include extras. Parise will probably end up around 7.5 million a year |
