I'm shocked Vancouver and Florida didn't make a deal. It's like tradition!!! oh well, Tallon stayed quiet, obviously everyone was asking for Huberdeau and Howden in deals. That's not happening. Glad he's sticking to the plan. Panthers will be nasty soon enough. Lets just hope we make the playoffs for once this season. |

I would consider Carolina a bit of a loser... they have about 3-4 guys who could have been moved that would give you guys some nice building blocks. What use is Allen... Pitkanen... etc going to have on the future? |

Shots are 12-10 with about 11 minutes left in the rangers game... can you confirm that this is the most boring game ever? - TimThomasLunge
Not if you were a fan of either team. That was very intense, felt like a playoff game |

Pitkanen is still our best puck moving defenseman, took a pay cut and signed long term this summer, and was never on the block.
Allen will be offered a contract extension when the season ends, as he has been key to our improved play of late.
Of the only two players on the block (Allen and Spacek) Rutherford said that at his asking price, he didn't receive any offers for either player.
We'll sign Allen, let Spacek walk, and that leaves room for a defense next year of
Pitkanen-Faulk
Gleason-Allen
Murphy-McBain
Harrison
The feeling is that the core of the team is fine. Priority is getting some better supporting pieces and, as Rutherford said, Trading this summer for a big name winger to play with Staal next season. |

Calgary qualifies as losers - by neither buying nor selling they don't move ANY direction one way or another and are likely to lose a few guys that had value today for nothing, while simultaenously missing the playoffs again - S Kaspar Rollins
It's hard to get any sort of read on what Flames management are doing. It's like the franchise is drifting.

What about the Ruutu deal? Or the Gleason deal? You don't find those a bit steep? |
