Cause everyone is learning about the trades right away on TSN and Ek is 5-10 minutes behind.

Hopefully, the past two lame trade deadline days will teach the sports networks to tone it down.

There are very few things as obnoxious and overblown in all pro sports as the NHL trade deadline.

My God, it's been like a national holiday lately. I actually know people who stay home from work on deadline day and fire up the laptop (hitting "refresh" every 10 seconds on tsn.ca) while sitting on the couch watching the TV coverage.

Agreed. We need a top line centre...unfortunately it seems like it's going to be impossible to trade for one or sign for one and based on where we will be drafting this year highly unlikely we'll be drafting one this year.

If we finish the season out on the way we are currently playing i am going to say a Goaltender is a bigger need than a #1 Center for this team at least right now.

I seriously cannot believe Burke right now, he's digging his own grave. He has a chance to right some wrongs, and he's doing nothing. Atleast unload the likes of Komisarek, Armstrong, Gustavsson. Can't be serious about keeping Grabovski at 5 million, its a joke. He's basically having the same season as Bozak, should he receive 5 mil as well, unbelievable. Our goaltenders suck right now, and he's just going to stand pat, awesome game plan. We get rid of Aulie, when we could have dumped Komi, where is the rationale in that? Just not understanding any of it right now.

OH yeah, teams are just lining up for Komi and Armstrong...

There are 29 other teams in the NHL with their own dmen and forwards they are trying to move, and some of those players are just plain BETTER.

You want to get rid of Gustavson? When Reimer went down it was Gustavson who kept the Leafs in the playoff hunt.

The Leafs should be getting picks and prospects, because they are not making the playoffs this year.
