Gardiner and Colborne I would say are A prospects

Kadri is slipping. Combined wiht his play (although has been great in spurts) and twitter comments, it's obvious he is not an A prospect. B+ maybe?

Would I have given up Gardiner after trading Aulie? I don't think so.

Stay the course. The Leafs have been in a playoff spot for 80% of the year.

It might be wishful thinking, but I am not going to be a sensationalist. I think this team has playoff ability.

Howson refused to name the price for Nash. Probably means he's looking at dropping the price on him now.

Weird situation altogether. You have to believe Nash is done there now. I think the problem was likely that Nash's "list" wasn't really big enough ...wasn't really 5 teams. I think he was steering a trade to wherever which kept the bid(s) low because there wasn't a real market.

I don't see how it gets better in the summer for CLB ...Nash has complete control of his destination and the only thing CLB can do is refuse to deal him ...which is not in their best interest either.

What I really meant is that Ashton is an NHL player.

Just like Colborne and Kadri.

He might not be a top 6 player, but he will be an NHLer, which is all you want in a prospect that isn't considered elite.
If Ashton is a 3rd line RWinger in 2 years it won't be considered a bust.

Ross, McKegg, Blacker, Biggs, Percy are the B prospects. Not sure if they will become NHLers.

i can understand where nash is coming from. how many years has he given that franchise just to watch another schmuck run it into the ground all over again? i bet he's steamed after howson's presser...

i bet he's really choked at himself for signing that extension, and not bailing as a FA and leaving the organization with squat..

Ok, so we were looking at it in different ways. I look at what I think a guys too potential is, compared to what I think he's likely to become.

Would not be surprised to see him challenge for a spot.

Yeah we are for sure.

The leafs have Future NHL Players ing Colborne, Kadri, Frattin and Ashton. To what extent the perform at the NHL level is still up to their continued development.

Likely bottom 6, but there is hope still for 4th, 5th or 6th forward spots for them.

I think Kadri and Colborne are sure fire top-6ers. Maybe even top liners. Agreed on the other guys though, 2nd/3rd line tweeners.
