Makes you wonder what Grabo would have fetched?
Sorry I don't want a 50 point 5 million a year centre unless he's the best in the league at either, defense or hitting the crap out of the opponents. - HipHopisDead
i got flamed pretty hard for suggesting that we should've traded Grabo last season towards the deadline when he was on a tear. still signed for a season, and in the middle of the streak.. i'm sure he would've brought in quite the return.
the bernier/high pick deal i saw a week or so ago would've made me happy.. if burke passed up on that type of return.. yikes. |

Still got Armstrong, Connolly, Lombo. Still gonna lose. - Leafland
Impossible to trade those guys unless we add... Franson or Gunner to the deal just to get a good pick.
I just noticed Burke only has two forwards signed after next season.. crazy |

Im still not understanding why Aulie is getting such a free pass over Schenn?
Why is everyone so convinced that Schenn is a dud and Aulie is the next big thing? Schenn is having a bad year, but give him time for (frank) sakes.
Im sad to see Aulie go, and Im not sure what we have in Carter outside of the WJ's. - markmark
Expectations
5th overall Draft pick compared to a perceived throw in on the Dion trade.
Its easy to see. Leafs fans expect the world |

41 career starts above the ECHL make him barely an AHL goalie... - joel878

Apparently they're ok on the dollar number, it's the length they're bargaining over. Burke thinks he can get him signed, especially if there was any truth to that Chicago rumour. |

Yeah hopefully our potential in Kadri, Colborne, Ashton (now), Frattin, McKegg, and Ross can take some of those spots. |

He is a great second line centre!! I was ok either way, cause we would have got some good stuff for him! That said, I would love to some day see him in the playoffs............ |

All was not lost today.
We didn't get a goalie, which means we will miss the playoffs.
Missing the playoffs is the only way RW was going to get fired.
He will be gone within days of season's end

just because you screwed the pooch on one signing doesn't mean you use that as your benchmark. |

the way burke worships wilson to the media tells me he's setting the stage for wilson to not be fired under any circumstances.
which is more devastating than any non-trade. |

Grabo deserves more than Tuomo Rutuu, and we have a hometown discount thing playing in our favour.... People need to relax, we'll cut the dead weight and make the room. |

Yep... does Burke and co. really think it will look bad if they get sent down? I think he's given them a good shot. Especially Army and Connolly have had a lot of opportunities.
Lombardi(eventhough I don't like him) should get some extra time to show what he can do considering he had a year off. It would be nice if he could play in the AHL for the rest of the year. |
