I think it was his idea to go on TSN for one of two reasons:
EITHER (A) He is sincere that the Leafs aren't likley to make a trade & he's covering his butt early cause he knows Leaf fans will be really pissed at Burke's inactivity.
OR (B) He's basically sending a message to 29 other GM's, basically saying " you idiot GM's are asking for way too much, if ya don't lower your demands, piss off"

i loved the comment he made about how Gustavsson has saved the season, yet there he is sitting on the bench while Reimer flushes it down the toilet.
Gus has had 1 bad game since December... Reimer has been crap since the Oct/Nov MTL game... including both shutouts. 50ft shots, Connolly could've got those shuouts |
