Ty Anderson: Shanahan's inconsistencies becoming commonground
- tyanderson

Are these commentators for real?!?!?!?! I've heard homer's before, but WOW! Completely over the top.
The hit was borderline. Probably should have been a one game suspension. Sure is funny to see Bruins fans whining though. After all the dishing out of dirty plays they do then promptly telling other fans to "stop whining!" it's nice to see the opposite for a change. Not sure how Ty can go off the deep end on a hit like this yet defend the cheap shot Marchand put on Salo.

I agree with the inconsistent calls this year by Shanny for sure, but it's everywhere, not just in Boston.
- Ponyboy

this.

He let the Bruins get away with a few ones as well. +, the problem is league wide, as you said.

Still better than last season in my opinion.

No, he jumped and you can't do that.

As much as I hate the bruins, he should have been suspended for that.

Dont know how you Bruins fans can complain , all you have gotten is favorable treatment , I guess that your memory blocked out the Goonery that Chara did to Pacioretti last year almost killing him ... Oh and maybe this one you'll remember the Lucic hit on Miller earlier this year , which was clearly intentional but not punished , and Marchand never stops making an idiot of himself , believe me the Bruins are the absolute dirtiest team since the Broad Street Bullies , time and time again the Goonz have gotten favorable rulings ... Stop Crying !!!

Yeah, inconsistency is Shannahan's major problem, even with his video explanations. Most of his suspensions are warranted, he just misses a lot too, for no real reason. On a side note, Boston's announcers gotta be the biggest homers I've heard...

Is Brick the guy doing the colour?
- weirdoh

He's the analyst. Andy Brickley. He's pretty decent, but he does get sucked in by that moron Jack Edwards.

The call that Shannahan fumbled the most was James Neals $2500 fine for a high stick on Subban. If you watch the replay you can clearly see that Subban slewfoots Neal which leads to Neal falling backwards and his stick hits Subban.

Yup Sure !!! As long as the Goonz continue to get favorable rulings , seems however that is the popular consensus around the league , not only from us PROUD Habs Fans ...

Proud of a franchise that has been a disgrace in this league since probably before you have been born.

Continue being so ''proud''.

Yeah it is certainly inconsistant. However a major upgrade from the hack that ran things the last few yrs. I would like to point out that Turris has a clean record. The league always considers the repeat offender as they should. Another great example is Lucic getting nothing for hitting Miller then Too too gets 2 games for a far less violent play. League has work to do but is getting better

The hit, itself, is clean. BUT, there is charging. You can't say that the guy didn't take ALOT of speed and has been skating for at least 2-3 sec in Boychuk's direction.

My concern is the charging thing in this. Yes, it gives spectacular clean hits, but well... This is were injuries could occur.

Supplemental discipline should not be a one man show it should be a committee. 5-11 members that the majority rules for or against a players for infractions, that way more of these hits will be examined and hopefully corrected because this one man system is ridiculous. Goes to show Bruins are not the favorites of the NHL like so many claim. The hit is not THAT bad but worthy or a warning at least.

That one announcer is the very definition of "Homer". He's pretty bad. The Neil hit was gold. In fact, Boychuk skated into Neil as much as Neil hit him.
