Agree with just about all of this. Nabby has one of his best years at 36...in a year the Isles were hoping he'd show he still has it so they could flip him in a trade. The plan has come together perfectly...he's matched his career best in save percentage, and there are multiple teams with tons of pressure to win now in need of a goaltender. I think they'll get good offers...all they have to do is pull the trigger. Don't spit on the hockey gods when they finally do the Isles a favor!

PA...I still say put your best offer in front of him today and trade him if he doesn't take it. If he doesn't take your best offer now, then he probably won't take it later.

Streit...it'd have to be a good offer to move him. Maybe if he's packaged with PA for a top D prospect to a team going for it all this year.

agreed with this and the guy you replied to, although id be willing to trade streit if an offer came through for him....i dont think hes going to get much better than he is right now...so although it may seem like the isles would be selling low on him, i see it more as them cutting their losses and getting something for the guy

Would you move Streit and PAP to Boston for Hamilton if they were a willing partner, or is that too much to give up?

That's actually what I had in mind, even though Boston I think says he's not available. I was wary about posting that exact offer since my trade proposals are usually laughed off by my fellow HB GMs, but now that you brought it up...I'd say if PA is willing to re-sign here before the deadline, I wouldn't do it, but if he doesn't re-up by early this afternoon, I'd be cool with that deal. The Isles would have to be certain they move mountains to bring in a solid replacement for Streit in the offseason though.

Normally i would scoff at a notion like that.. but i dont put ANYTHING past a player represented by Don Meehan. This franchise has had so many run ins with Don over the years that he HAS to hate this team.

I see the humor, but there is no way that Nabby is going to do this. Its not in his best interests to do it. Why wouldn't Nabby want to be moved to a contender if he knows in his heart that he won't re-sign on LI? If he wanted out, he'd tell Snow so and he'd be gone to some contender somewhere by 3:00 PM on 2/27.
