its just a lil thing called experiance... they are maturing and could show a 2nd year and a rookie the ropes - Killbot460
So we have a sophomore and a rookie as 1st and 2nd line center...and are counting on 2 3rd year players to cover for them? |

Too young to know him... but Bob Staufer said Semenko was the best "enforcer" but Brown was prolly the best fighter - Killbot460
Brown was the best fighter we had before laraque.. The guy was feared. |

not cover for them.... help em out, since they were in their shoes a year or 2 before. Besides isn't next year year 3 of a 5 year rebuild? playoffs will come in year 5 my friend. Be Patient |

I agree, just saying he was the best fighter. Brown was a better enforcer for sure. |

I repeat, there is no one else that can step into the 2nd line center role. Horcoff is not a top 6 center, never has been. Belanger, ditto, and that was before his offence went into hibernation this year. Lander hasn't even earned a regular spot with the club yet. No. and I reiterate that there are starting to be major questions surrounding Grigorenko. At this stage in the rebuild they have no business trading a guy hoping that his spot can be filled by maybes. Its the reason Hemsky was re-signed, and it's the reason why Gagner shouldn't be traded unless they are in a position to outright rob another team. |

Playoffs were supposed to be this year, we are supposed to compete in year 5. If we keep trading players we draft and replace them with rookies we will never get to the playoffs. There is NO guarantee Grigs will be better or even 1/2 the player Gagner is. |

and look at RNH, gotta give it to pilgor..... he called it, tons of questions about his size and strength look at him now.
Oh i wanna keep gagner but the oilers need 2 things: Size in the top 6 and a top pairing dman.... he is neither and sometimes you have to give up something good to get something goood. |

RNH was the consensus #1 overall pick... by a wide margin.
Pilgor gets no credit.

(frank) off with playoffs this year.... When has a team finished dead last and then make the playoffs, no gm is going to come out and say we won`t make the playoffs... read between the lines you fool. Next year i bet ya the oil won`t even make the playoffs, they will be in the race but won`t make it till the year after. |

Agree 1001%. If we decide to draft either Grigs or Forsberg, flip them to the wing and add size. Even if we decide to draft Murray having Hall on one line and Paajarvi on the other for size works fine by me. Look at teams like Chicago you don't need to be huge to be competitive. Gagner is a perfect example, may be smaller player but won't shy away from a hit or a fight. |

In your mouth?
Your boy Turdis is up for a Shanniban I see.
I don't see you tooting his horn as much lately.
So you want credit on Nuge, provide the link to where you said it, and admit you got it wrong about Turdis. |

Kills me...it aint hard...Tambi is supposed to say the P-offs are the goal...the fans knew in the beginning there was not much hope for it, but then that fast start came and everyone started forgetting what reality was.
