Kills me...it aint hard...Tambi is supposed to say the P-offs are the goal...the fans knew in the beginning there was not much hope for it, but then that fast start came and everyone started forgetting what reality was. - OilHorse
yup. I basked in the early season success but knew that as soon as Khabi came back to earth it would all go away. I hoped, secretly, that it wouldn't happen, but alas... |

yup, you are correct pilgor, as well as your man crush on gagner, and that worked out..... pretty well actually, i remember clouts and a lot of people saying RNH was too small but i never really take clouts too seriously unless he is talking bout what he really knows about, video games and D&D - ruttager17
Pilgor swore up and down at the beginning of the season that Turris would outscore Gagner. We have a bet on it actually. He also said that Omark could outscore Eberle. (that was my fav)
I've buried the hatchet with him but yeah, remove his balls from your mouth. |

As sent to me by Pilgor...Now I see it is in Jan, after the WJrs so he was not on the Nuge train when Killbot said he was, or at least it is not proven he was, but it was early enough that I will take him at his word that he was preaching for Nuge like he has been saying he was.
On that note...as a man of my word I will leave you alone for the rest of this hockey season about Turdis. Be prepared to defend him again next season... |

Everyone that was following the prospects around that time knew the Nuge was going first, and yes some Oilers Fans were talking about drafting Adam Larsson,Gabriel Landeskog etc but most smart Oilers fans knew the Nuge was the choice. |

i read that your original argument with him was about RNH. Dont change the topic to turris/gagner to make yourself look better. We all know he was wrong about that. Fact still remains he said RNH would perform while most said he was too small. Its ok to be wrong from time to time. Dont hate on pilgor just cause he is black. - ruttager17
No people hate on Pil becasue he is act arrogant and will not admit he is wrong...I do not think he has backed off of those statements about Filatov, Turris and allstar, Omark outscoring, or Turris outscoring...he claims he has a great record of being right yet I rarely see him be right.
I will say that I wanted Larrson over Couturier AND Nuge, and I wanted Couturier over Nuge. I am very pleased with how it did turn out but I do not feel bad for wanting them over Nuge...they have both done fairly well where they are and the possibility they could have done well here is a philosophical debate for another time. The fact remains that Nuge was picked and he has been everything we could have wanted.

hes made plenty of bad calls and none will end being worse than all the prv hate.
well, maybe the omark outscoring ebs...
but
i can vouch. he was always on the rnh train.
in fact laughs and i argued with him a million times as we were on the larsson bandwagon.
im on the murray bandwagon this year too.
we need to take a risk and get that franchise dman. |

Well to be honest I thought Grigs would be our answer... I am a tad pissed cause we are really needing a big skilled fwd in our top 6... too bad souray fuct our potential Hartnell deal... Thinking now if Galy... is not the real deal either... I would be happy with Murray as 1a option and Dumba as 1b... |

You wouldn't care if it was WSH or Coloardo's pick haha. That is going to be like a 10 spot difference by the end of the year.
And WSH gets hosed in this deal IMO. - Pilgor09
Would the 1st round pick provide immediate help on a roster spot next season, probably not, unless in terms of trade it away again for a roster player. WSH would be smart and also see how IF Oilers did get Carlson and Neurvith, they wouldn't offer up the higher draft pick because both of those players can provide immediate impact on the roster positive or negative outcome. I can agree with you as WSH might not care for such a deal, but who's more desperate to make the playoffs? Regardless, If WSH wants Gagner, they have to pay to play, just like EDM have to take a risk and pay the devil to play too. |
