The boys better win tonight, that is the bottom line. The entire team seems to have hit a wall at the same time.

Wasn't Ott the player Lava had the issue with going to the locker room?

Just heard OTT, JVR, and TRADE in same sentence...almost threw up in my mouth.
- EastBeast18

If the FLyers were to send JVR to Dallas, I would insist that one of Jamie Oleksiak or Jack Campbell come back the other way apart from someone like Ott.

Yup...but as soon has he pulled on a Flyers jersey, I'm betting bygones would be bygones.

PS. If they give up JVR for him, count me in as saying quite a bit more better be heading back to Philly in addition to Ott.

Would you push it and ask for their 1st round pick as well?

It can't be easy for jvr to play with all of the rumors. So in Philly a new contract means you're going to get traded within the year.

More like Rinaldo, if Rinaldo could also kill penalties, win faceoffs and score 20 goals in a good year.

Bill do you think Bryz's issues are from not recovering from the bad playoffs performance last year? Then coming here and not being able to deal with the pressure.

I remembered that they had drafted Campbell two years ago or so. Is his stock still as high as when he was drafted?

Hard to say. I don't even know if Bryzgalov himself knows. I think he's felt the weight of the big contract from day one, though.

He just seems to not know what to do. He needs to straighten out his head. Not writing off this season, but I hope he can came back next season with his issues worked out. If not I think they will need to try to move him.

He had a poor WJC along with most of Team USA but he still has good NHL potential. Oleksiak is the one I'd really want, though. Dallas also has other good young defensemen in the system -- Phillip Larsen (already in NHL) is similar to Erik Gustafsson only bigger and two years younger, Patrik Nemeth is a virtual Nicklas Grossman clone, John Klingberg is a RH shooter with some puck-moving upside.

EKLUND: Nash to Rangers "not the only option at all"

Talking to a few sources it is becoming more and more likely that teams are preparing for a final charge at Rick Nash. I am hearing San Jose is still very in it. Philly, Vancouver and Toronto are considering getting back into it. a source added, "Also, don't be totally shocked if a totally new team emerges later tonight."
Source: eklund

I take Ek with a grain of salt. Having said that, I want nothing to do with Nash, his cap hit, or what it would take to acquire him. Let the Rags gut their team and put themselves in cap hell.

He can play any forward position. Takes left circle draws although primarily a winger.

I'm thinking along those lines too. I don't discount this year altogether, but I wouldn't be surprised if he'll need the offseason to get his bearings back and start anew. Heck, maybe having an off year right away in a big market will make him mentally tougher or something else positive. If he can survive the bad times, he could endear himself and win over the fans eventually.

If he plays really well.

I hope Bryz figures this all out and can have at least 5-6 really good years in Philly so that the Flyers don't have to focus on using assets to get a big goalie prospect.

Campbell is a goalie prospect. Oleksiak is a moster of a defenseman (something like 6-foot-7, 245 pounds at age 19) who is still very raw -- although drafted in first round last summer -- but whom some think has Chara-like potential if he puts it all together. Others say Oleksiak is more like a future Hal Gill. Hard to say, when a defenseman is still that young.

How legit is this "list"?? does anybody really know? Im having a hard time believing the orange and black are not on his list, I mean cmon..he wants to be on a contender ??? then why the hell would the sharks be on there but not us? Im not lobbying for nash .it would cost too much , but cant believ were not on prefered list.
