At this point I'm willing to try almost anything except trading first round picks, good prospects, or youth. I'm not sure I believe just putting a C on someone's chest is going to make a big difference, but you're right - it certainly can't hurt.

No way. Jake has his issues, but he's thrown more hits on his last shift than Zherdev has in his whole career.

then how do you explain the team coming out flat from the 1st puck drop? ..i want good goaltending just as bas as everyone else here and deserves its share of criticism, but its not the reason this team is sucking in every aspect of the game right now.

Well, it was until Jake and Coby scored. Now there are two areas they're not sucking in: scoring and scoring from the defenseman. They've upgraded to "Unsatisfactory."

Maybe they should just skate with extra attacker the whole game and just try to out score because it doesn't seem to matter if the goalie is there or not. That way it would at least increase the odds of scoring. Is it sad when I'm thinking of the good old days with Leighton?
