What? - Mattjd123
Poor grammar. I'm basically saying that Brassard to the Canucks seems redundant. Does not fill a need.
Montreal wants a play-making centre. Ek mentioned it. It's not unheard of for a GM to say there's interest in his players to drive up the price.
Does that make sense? |

Thats BS.
I find it suprising that the Sharks are so quiet .They are horrible this year and may not make the playoffs. - VANTEL
But I gave it a b4... |

One step forward, two steps back. I think Lapierre is what we need in the playoffs. We don't have enough piss and vinegar. That's why the canucks are looking at Ott. Lapierre and Higgins were great deadline pick ups. I hope Gillis does as well this year. |

He's always stepped up in the playoffs, even in MTL which is why I liked the trade from day one. No way I'd trade him, I'd rather just include a prospect/pick in a Ott/Brassard trade. |

I don't see MG doing anything big, he isn't going to part with any of the core/any of his close to NHL-ready prospects and he hates giving away his 1st/2nd round picks. For him to make a major move, there'd have to be a deal that would significantly upgrade the Canucks who are pretty much as good as they can be right now. Some GM would have to offer Gillis someone special in order for him to part with anyone significant. Spare parts is about all we'll probably see the Canucks get at the deadline. |

I guess NYR out of the Nash running.Sounds like Nash's agent is saying get it done now or forever hold your peace. |

I agree with almost everything here, but if Gillis has a player in his crosshairs that he believes will put us over the top, I have to believe he will pull the trigger even if it means sacrificing some picks or prospects. |

Yes I say 1 D and Ott
But pointed out by Bob McK they could go after Nash if they want - VANTEL
Lets assume for a sec that Nash gets traded. Do you think Gill is is controlling what they get in return. I read a few reports that teams were hesitant to deal with clb because it was clear they were gonna flip the player to another team. JJ said the same about the hawks asking about Carter. If the nyr get Dubinsky in a Nash deal. Gill is trades Schneider, Raymond and schroader for Dubinsky and J Johnson |

Wow that is a big conspiracy theory. Possible ,but that means CBJ traded Nash and Carter for Schneider Raymond and Schroeder . Unless it is a total salary dump ,then CBJ have the dumbest GM in the history of the game. |
